Band titles that should show up on The Rockband Network

I was playing my Rockband 2 earlier and I got a little bored so I stopped playing. Then I went to listen to my Itunes when this awsome Van Halen song came on and I thought to myself WTF!! there is absolutely no Van Halen on Rockband.

So here is a list I thought of containing some bands that I think should be on Rockband 2.

  • Van Halen
  • Candlebox
  • Creed
  • Framing Hanley
  • Atreyu
  • Adelita's Way
  • Anberlin
  • Bloc Party
  • Crossfade
  • Dead By Sunrise
  • Hellogoodbye
  • POD
  • Powerman 5000
  • Saliva
  • Skyfire
  • Tantric
  • Tonic
  • The Used

Those are just some ideas tell me some of yours comment.

  • Well, I think they didn't put Van Halen songs in it because they just came out with yet another expansion clone of Guitar Hero specifically for Van Halen, but Bloc Party, Atreyu, P.O.D. and Creed are at my top genres of music. Saliva would be cool too, but they're a little weird for me. I just don't like The Used because they sound emo, but that's everyone's different taste. Unfortunately, some songs just don't make the cut because Activision keeps rushing production of Guitar Hero / Rock Band titles that they don't have time to focus on some songs that would truly add to the enjoyment of the game. Oh well, maybe Kotick or whatever his name is will realize that gaming isn't all about money. Still, good idea.

  • I like your list.

I'd love to see Creed and Tantric on there myself.

Is Judas Priest on there yet?

  • yea judas priest is on there and the used is kind of emo but they have alot of great songs like Hospital, or Paralyzed

  • I know that Rock Band has a good bit of The Offspring in their tracklist, but I'd like to see more from their most recent album "Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace."

  • Well they have Hammerhead and I think they have your gonna go far kid

  • Creed? Seriously?

    Other than that, nice list.

  • I also, dislike creed

  • Hey, Human Clay is the good one. I don't really care for the other, but don't be hating the first. Although, I do admit it doesn't really feel Rock Band-ish to me either... Hmm... how about Jonas Brothers? That's a great band! *sarcasm*

  • Creed is awsome I wasnt talkin about their sappy stuff like One Last Breath but What about songs like Overcome by creed awsome guitar and it would sound great on Rockband look it up and listen to it bet u will like it

  • you do know that there's a van halen guitar hero game right

  • yea but there isnt any Van Halen on Rockband and that kinda makes me upset

  • They should definitely include Framing Hanley, they should also include My Chemical Romance. There are so many artists that they could put in RB2, but they dont.

  • Creed = meh

But nice list and I think My Chemical Romance should be on rock Band instead of Green day. They are more varied, although kind of emo rock.

  • well they did very well with van halen, metallica and the beatles. but what ever gave them the idea to make band hero?.This has to be the most stupid idea i think they ever thought of. most of the songs suck. some i never heard of. ive heard thats they made it for the modern time songs. then instead of 3 doors down put some nickelback, pap roach. bring back the modern rock that made music what it is today. and the only persons songs thats actully sound good playing is taylor swift. and yea shes good and all but might as well call it "Taylor Swift's band hero". she has half of her songs on the playlist. kinda rediculas when its called BAND hero when her songs own the playlist and they r pretty much the only thing u can play. I played it twice and probably the best thing about this game is the drum playing. but thats my personal opinion.

  • fopucopkop

  • There seems to be some confusion surrounding the fact that Rock Band and Guitar Hero are different franchises created by separate developers. That said, I'm personally all for the addition of new DLC. I believe that most would agree that Rock Band has the best expansion model, releasing very few new games and presenting new content on a roughly bi-weekly, a la carte basis. This allows them to be more varied/experimental, and it allows gamers to obtain only those songs that they feel are best; it ends up costing about the same as buying a new game every few months, with the added benefit of being composed of 100% songs that you wanted as opposed to getting a lot of stuff you didn't with the disc based releases.

I'd recommend going to Harmonix's site and requesting your favorite neglected bands on their website. They try to add their most popular requests, though at this point, you have to realize that the vast majority of "obvious" omissions are out due to either the cost of licensing, refusal on the part of those holding rights, or perhaps even a future commitment to greater plans (such as you saw with Beatles RB).

  • I totally agree

  • CREED!?! How about System of a Down, Korn, Mudvayne, Slipknot, John Tesh, Slayer, Megadeth, Black Label Society... John Tesh? how did that get in there?

  • Some of those bands u listed are on Rockband u r tard
