Today, games are a pretty popular part of our culture. Almost everyone in a modernized country has played a video game at on time, whether it be an arcade cabinet, phone based, or a full blown title meant for PCs and consoles. But, what happens when you mash it with another part of popular culture? Well, you get some pretty nice results. Especially when you combine music and games. I could go on for a while, but I think it's best to give a few examples.
Here's one from a personal favorite of mine, sung by EmpyreanAria:
If you payed close attention in that song, you'll have heard shout outs to multiple games such as Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Shadow of The Colossus, and Disgaea.
Here's another based on the popular shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops
It's a nice parody of Bruno Mar's Grenade, that I think anyone can enjoy, even if you don't enjoy Call of Duty.
This MineCraft based parody of DJ's Got Us Fallin' In Love by Usher, is a joint effort by multiple people (Including TryHardNinja, singer of the above song). It features great animation, nicely sung lyrics, and is everything a game-based song can hope to be.
I personally love music based on games, and I'm sure many other people do, too. It's nice to see other fans using their creativity to pay homage to our favorite titles, and just shows what a diverse community we are.
