Well, the other day, my sister and I are sitting around watching the news before going to school. Yet ANOTHER one of those ads for mayor came on. At the end, she said, "Isn't Mark Sanford our mayor?"

Me: "Um, he's our governor."

Her: "Then who's our mayor?"

Me: "I don't know, Rhodes, maybe. I really don't care, they can't do that much to us."

...And the thing is, my sister is in an AP History and Government class. So, I decided to continue, "Can you name one of our senators?"

SURPRISE! She couldn't.

Me: "Lindsay Graham (or however you spell it) is one."

Her: "Oh, yeah? Who's the speaker of the house?"

Me: "Nancy Pelosi."

Her: "How did you just do that?!"

Me: "I watch TV, including the news."

So, all in all, I think my sister either REALLY needed her coffee or something was wrong. I'm not entirely sure if we're related, anymore. However, that conversation did remind me of the conversation I had with my friend over a song:

DragonZProductions: Metallica peformed "The Unforgiven III" at the S&M performance, right?

Me: Yeah, especially since that song was written NINE YEARS AFTER THEY DID THE S&M CONCERT!

The latter conversation was over the internet, but still made my jaw drop.

Really, I think we have all had a conversation like this, and we've all probably been the butt of the joke at least once. What do you think?
