The lights are on
Power Member - Level 6
Hitman has you taking control of the world's most deadliest assassin, AGENT 47. the goal of hitman is to best eliminate your target. this could mean finding a sniper rifle somewhere in the environment, or using one of AGENT 47 trademark weapons, his fiber wire to slience your target forever. hitman has great options for choice in the game, you could go through a hole level and never kill anyone if you wanted, but then you can go guns blazing and kill everyone in sight. this makes for hours of replay ability. you can find the really funny ways to kill the target, or some really nasty ones too. the level are great, they make for some interesting encounters. there is always a new gun to use, or a new vantage point to snipe from and new disguises to wear. Hitman cotrols really well, the shooting feels nice and fluid. it is easy to pick up and play. the stealth is also great, it feel a bit like a splinter cell game but that's not too bad, because hitman does put it's own twist on the stealth for this game. some of the level are fun to just pull out your guns and start blasting away, but it is really something if you can complete a level with out ever pulling your gun out of the holster. the sound is superb. you can start waking through a crowd and get sidetracked because you hear some funny or interesting dialogue. the graphics are something special too, there is a part where AGENT 47 just escape a burning building and you can see soot on his face, there is a few parts in the game were i saw a couple of glitches, but nothing that is game breaking. New to hitman is contracts mode. this a mode that lets you make your own hit and then publish it for the world to play. this is were i spent most of my time, it is really fun because you can make a hit, were you are dress as a bird and are using a sword to kill your target, that is of course if you wanted to do that. this is also really neat because if you can't kill your target in story mode in a way that you wanted, then you can play contracts intel you find the kill that you wanted. the only low point of the game was the story. now it's a kick ass story but it's not presented in a way that metters much. the story is as follows. your halndler has leaked top secret information about the agency and now has a hit on her head, and it looks like your the only man for the job, but can you really kill her. through a series of events you have to protect her daughter from the agency and the likes of a evil weapons manufacturer. now it's up to you to save the girl and kill the bad guys. this is a great game to play, but only for a week or two, becasuse after a while it gets a bit repetitive, but i guess a week or two is good for a game like this.
