The lights are on
To some it should only be done on halloween. To others it shouldnt be done at all. And to the rest any times a good time to cosplay. Most should know what it is but if you dont its basically when your average gamer/ anime fan dresses up as their favorite anime or game characters. From Star wars to DBZ. Some fans pull off the characters some not so well. Take me for instance. i cosplay a black version of ichigo from bleach. Besides the whole color thing i basically have the body of his character. I try my best to impress fans at cons and from the past 5 ive been to ive done quite a good job at it. So is there anything fans out there lilke or dislike about cosplay.
cool, you should include a pic of the character you are doing
I have always loved Cosplay, or at least it feels somewhat magical to me now just as it did as when I was a kid. There's something amazing about seeing a character that you hold as 'holy' to a certain aspect come to life in a full life-size costume or person. Cosplay has definitely influenced pop culture in many places and in many forms, and I'll happily support it.
Some of my favorite cosplay is at Blizzcon each year... I've never been fortunate enough to attend, but Starcraft is a favorite game of mine and I love seeing insane costumes that look like they had a lot of hard work go into them.
Awesome costume ^ btw, very nice.
@keo
that is me
@Meta77
i think he means a picture of Ichigo from the actual anime
anyway, i wouldn't mind cosplaying as Killua (the dude in my avatar)around Hallowen or something, considering I'm to lazy to go to any comic cons, even New york Comic con (i live right around NYC)
Very nice cosplay. The only cosplay that I have done is for Halloween and I cosplayed once as Evil Ryu from SF, but it was easy to cosplay (Black Gi, Red Hamakichi, FuRinKaZan BlackBelt). I like your cosplay, way better than mine.
Keep up the good work.
I'm going to go to next years Katsucon in Feb. Its pretty much decided that I am going as Kisame from Naruto to fit the theme of the group which is guys with big swords. We will be carrying a flag or a sign that says something along the lines of "We are not compensating!" It should be fun. Probably even more fun than building Kisame's sword.
!ding level 5.
Also were you at the Katsucon last Feb? My brother told me he saw a really good black ichigo. I'm wondering if thats you.
Rambling: it would be fun to cosplay as L too....
@RainingMadness
lol, "we are not compensating"
XD
Nice costume. it looks pretty much exactly like i would think a "Real" version of Ichigo would look like. You should put up a picture of cartoon Ichigo to show people how good of a job that you completed. it is SWEET!
I would love to cosplay but i have never had the chance to do so which SUCKS! But if I were to cosplay, I would either cosplay as Sora, or as Mario (Yeah it has been done to death but hey why not.)
oh thanks for most the comments i didnt know how to use the site so well back then but ive edited with a pics of character am doing.
I've always been interested in cosplay ,but never been to a convention or dressed up myself . I've seen it on tv or the internet , and secretly wished I'd done some when I was youger , married now though I doubt the wife would understand . Still.....
Btw Meta , I hope you weren't offended when I called you an odd little man the other day , I'm rather odd myself so that was meant as a kind of a weird compliment , sorry if it came out wrong .
Grrr no edit button , I hate seeing youger instead of younger , aaaarghh . Oh well , btw have you seen Howls Moving Castle or any of Hayao Miyazaki's other movies . Love 'em , but the japanese versions not the english dubbed ones .
I personally don't have a problem with people cosplaying not for me I don't have the necessary talent or energy to do it myself...if you do it well than I appreciate it, I'm also not that big into Anime I like the Staples Cowboy Bebop some Trigun, although some of the episodes didn't really add to the overall plot that well, Hellsing, and of course the staple movies Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D (loved both of those movies), Akira (although that was confusing as all hell)...my cousin keeps me up to date on most anime although most of it I pass on, My ex loved it though always wanted to go to Otakon here in Baltimore but I couldn't handle it, I'm a comics and Collectible Miniature Game guy.
@mrbadpersonality. Lol its fine and yea ive seen both those films.
@ Nick. Hey comics rock to. Ever been to comic-con?
