For those of you out there that do not keep up with gaming journalism, allow me to let you in on a little secret; Disney has already announced that is has tremendous plans for it's recently revealed Epic Mickey, everything from comics and action figures, to even a movie is all being thought of by the guys at Disney Interactive. But taking things even to a entire new level, the game's director, Warren Spector, revealed that he undoubtedly has more for this dark Mickey in mind. “I don’t do anything that isn’t extensible,” said Spector, ”And I will certainly feel like that I have not done my job if we can’t make other games in this world with these characters. In my head, I’ve got two more planned.” Wow, now that's what I like to hear from video game masterminds. However, we all know that is one thing to just imagine such a thing, and a completely different one to actually begin work on it. Spector went on to say, ”In the business world of reality, those games have not approved, and who knows if we’ll ever see them. I had 3 games planned for Deus Ex, and you see where that got me.” Obviously the game will have to gain to good momentum in order to guarantee a sequel, and while Epic Mickey looks to be both, interesting and original, the game does have a long way to go before it becomes the talk of the majority of the gaming sites out there. I already know what some of you guys are thinking, "printing the name 'Disney' is sure to guarantee few copies, however, there are other issues that both critics and players will have to determine first, such as if the gameplay is enough to keep you holding that controller past the 25 minute mark, or if the game is actually any good at all. While I will admit that I am just as eager to get my hands on this game as any die-hard Disney fan out there, I wouldn't advice anyone to just start day-dreaming about sequels to the game anytime soon. With the game’s release still being about a year away, I would say it’s safe to assume that all of these ideas are still only just that, ideas.
