Relics announcement of its action RPG Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine being a console-exclusive game has undoubtedly made many dedicated PC gamers very upset. But who can really blame them for wanting what appears to be an intriguing new direction in a series filled with such great fiction?

In a recent little chat with bit-tech, Relic confirmed that it has taken the all too familiar stance of "if the demand is there, we will consider it." I know that there is currently a petition the studio is aware of, but at the time of writing this, it appears that it doesn't exactly have a lot of signatures.

Originally I assumed the decision to leave out PC in place of a console was due to the nature of Space Marine, I think something about shooters justs feels better with a controller in hand, and it turned out I was right. Relic's goal is to "bring that same Warhammer 40,000 experience to console gamers in a unique and awesome way,"

While they didn't officially say this, I'm willing to bet my ninja sword that piracy was a major reason behind the choice for console exclusivity. Do you agree?
