We've all heard Robert Bowling’s sentiments about the untapped potential of current generation systems, well, recently Insomniac community manager James Stevenson said that the PS3 has yet to show off what it really can do, stating that it would take a couple more years before developers max out the system.

“There’s always ways we can become more efficient. The PlayStation platforms are built with a very high ceiling and I think that’s part of the success Sony has had in creating these platforms with really long life spans,” Stevenson said, doing his best Bowling impersonation complete with ceiling references. “I still think you’re not going to see the PS3 really maxed out for another two to three years. We’re using all of the PS3 right now, but you can always be more efficient in the way you use it.”

Insomniac’s Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is out already here in the states, Nov 4 in Europe and the 6th in the UK, but we’ll have to wait a couple more years for the more efficient, jaw-dropping sequel.
