Dark Void isn’t going to be the only jetpack-powered game headed our way over the next several months. Shattered Horizon, the first game from dev. Futuremark, wants a piece of the pie too. And so far, the game looks freaking amazing!!!

A first-person multiplayer shooter for the PC, Shattered Horizon will put teams of players in low orbit around our beautiful blue sphere, and leave them to fight it out for limited supplies in zero-G. Following a catastrophic lunar explosion that leaves them stranded and cut off entirely from Earth, players are forced to fight amongst each other for what limited amount of ammo, oxygen, and food there is. Though this is still only the first trailer to show off gameplay, the game is already looking freaking awesome, not to mention amazingly detailed. Check out the video for yourself to see what I‘m talking about.

While floating from surface to surface, flipping upside down and boosting around the environment, and enemy attacks coming at you from all angles sounds like a hell of a lot of fun, we’ll have to wait a little longer to really see what futuremark has done with this one. But if this video, along with the screen shots released so far, are anything to go by, Shattered Horizon might just have enough juice in its jetpack to make itself stand out from the pack.
