This is going to be a real quick blog guys, I just have to get something off my chest.
I'm 19 years old, and I still play Pokemon. There I said it. Now that all the giggling is over here is my problem. I'm trying VERY hard to play Radiant Historia for review but I CANNOT. It's not that Radiant Historia is a bad game, (quite the contrary; it may or may not be one of the best games I've played all year) it's just that Pokemon is the heroine of video games.
Let me elaborate. The very first game that I ever owned in my life, was Pokemon Yellow. The Special Pikachu Edition. That game DOMINATED my childhood. Until Halo that was pretty much the only game in my life. I beat it, started over and beat it again. There were other games, like Ocarina of Time, and Diablo 2, and the Mario games. But it was all about the Pokemonz.
After yellow, I got the Gold version the first day it was available and the sickness started all over. Repeat three more times with, Emerald, Heart Gold, and White version, and the addiction isn't slowing down. I'm constantly looking for the next Pokemon game, and I guarantee you I will be the first in line for White 2.
Back on track now. I won't get into how awesome Radiant Historia might be, because I'll be putting together an entire round table with 4 other reviewers for that. But I will say that it's definitely a game to write home about. It doesn't matter right now though. I'm shamefully trudging through Johto in Heart Gold right now, and it doesn't seem like I'll be stopping any time tonight. So with that said, I now say this: I hate you, Pokemon.
*A final note* I have to say I'm incredibly honored to be apart of this community. I've been humbly welcomed, and the G.I. community is the greatest. Here's to the years to come.
