I am finally showing everyone my Wii. Eager to hop into the next generation of console gaming and short on cash, the Wii was a quick buy. Despite all the hubbub about the shortages on consoles, I just walked straight up to a Gamestop and purchased one.

.

Despite having read all the specs of the Next Generation consoles, I still somehow came to the conclusion that I needed a Wii and a PS3. Of course thats what most people were thinking at the time. In retrospect I should have just got the PS3. Thats not to say I haven't enjoyed some of the gems the Wii has to offer.

While the thought of a motion controller hooked me right in, I find these pieces of plastic poorly executed.

Wanna borrow my Wiimote ok, but dont even think about taking them. They have stickers lol.

If I hadn't got this accessory from Links Archery then I would have never waisted my money on plastic that changes nothing and adds nothing.

This is undoubtedly the best addition to my Wii that I have. The only think I can really complain about Nintendo adding a real controller is the fact that they put the cord at the bottom of the controller...wtf its in my way. Why Nintendo...why?

Woo hoo a device that makes my family wanna kill me....awesome. " Step on to me......Wow you are in really good shape.....all your fat Mii friends should learn from you." Ok so maybe thats not what it says exactly but I do get the feeling of eye daggers in my back. All in all the Wii Balance Board is not a bad buy. Just cant remember the last time I stepped onto it.

Surprise, surprise. Yet again my first featured game of my Nintendo console is a Zelda title. The twilight princess didnt offer much in the way of new story line or mechanics, but it did fulfill my need to play as Link and cut some grass. And what is all this on the forums of voting Minda as hot....are you nuts. She is hideous that line at the end was ridicules. Why does Link always go gaga for weird women like fish and shadows?

When my sister requested a fun game for Christmas last year, my brother some how misinterpreted the words kid on this label to equal 26 year olds....and shovel-ware for fun haha.

We basically own this game just for New Years. The rest of the time its back to collecting dust haha.

OMG a fun third party game on the Wii. Did I say fun, I meant super funtacular.

Not a bad sequel but not very good either lol

What bowl, box, play golf. No I wanna pretend and so does millions of other suckers who got hooked in by Nintendo.

Sick of playing monopoly for four hours at a time....EA will shorten it for you but it will cost you 50 bucks...deal or no deal.

I actually love this game, the mechanics for pool are good enough to hook me in lol.

Wii fit? More like Wii rude. Just because I didn't hold the bars in place fast enough doesn't mean Im 37....for shame.

And you thought they couldn't kill the Sims franchise anymore....how do you lock someone out of the bathroom if their entire environment is a latrine.

Almost as good as duck hunt. The only thing that makes this title fall a noch behind is the fact that the reticle is on the screen.

How sad this game was. If you are expecting a Mario 64 like experience out of Mario Galaxy then look else where. Not that you shouldn't play this game, its one of the few desent games on the Wii.

Seeing how old titles are rare now. Its always nice to know I can download the sequels to my favorite games right onto my Wii. Super C rocks. Unfortunate that the WiiMote makes for an even smaller controller than the NES's.

I am thoroughly enjoying this game. Not as much as Donkey Kong Country 2 though.

My favorite part of owning a Wii is being able to play Super Mario Brothers 3.....as my original Cartridge was STOLEN!!!!!! ARGA aREASDGasdfjakshleu2387ooasd...sorry I just spasmed.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my Wii. If you have any questions about the games or the system feel free to ask.

The first game to introduce me to open world havoc. THANK YOU GI!!!. I dont know how you knew but its sweet of you to think of me!!

This time I am Featuring my Game Boy. I acquired this fine piece of scientific art from my older brother. I was raiding his "crap drawer" when I was younger and came across it. For everyone who doesn't know what a "crap drawer" is, its the upper drawer of your dresser were you shove things like papers, batteries, electronics, attachments.....anything you don't really need or use, but hold onto for some reason. I asked my brother if I could borrow the Game Boy and kept asking him if I could continue to borrow it until one day when he told me to keep the *** thing.

The funny thing to note about this Game Boy is that I have never had batteries in it....period.

"

Introducing my favorite third party piece of hardware. Why we don't have this for current Gen handhelds is beyond me. This is my sole battery source for my Game Boy. It is a Solar charger. Works like a charm...even last for a few hours.

This is the back of the Solar Charger. A large solar panel that when faced towards the sun gathers and stores energy to be used by your Game Boy.

I don't even know where the back is. No way to keep the batteries in it.

Ahh Wordtris. This game is like crack. Even though it excepts pretty much anything with a vowel in it, it still keeps it challenging enough to be really fun. Its just like tetris except that the only way to clear boxes is to spell words.

Who doesn't like sucking up enemies to spit them back at their friends. Kirby's Dream Land has kept me busy throughout the worst kinda lines.

Hope you enjoyed this look into My Consoles. If you have any questions about the two games in this edition or the Solar Charger feel free to ask.

This time we are going to be exploring the Nintendo 64. I first got my Nintendo 64 because my dad was too lazy to take me and my friends out to have some fun at Hollywood Conection. He baught the console and a couple of games and told us to sit and play. This game system wasnt officialy mine until about a year later for Christmas my father declared it mine instead of his, and instead of actualy going to buy somthing new. Lets face it he never played it; the system was mine already.

We litteraly have three Nintendo 64's in my apartment. My sisters can't have its picture taken as it is in my sisters room with three of my games. Tony Hawk, Zelda Ocorina of Time, and Donkey Kong.

Have you ever wanted to bleed out of your thumbs and palms? Well pick up one of these babies and a copy of Mario Party and you soon will be. I managed to convince myself that certain colors are better than others. You will take note that there is no blue controller. Thats because I played it until the joystick broke. My new vaforite is solid green!

Although this rumble pack has great functionality for games like Zelda where it rumbles near gratos, it was very precarious and made your controler front heavy.

Most games had their own way of saving, but for those that didnt it was nice to have one of these around. Its just too bad that switching between your Memory Card and Rumble Pack somtimes corupted your Save Files.

Okay its time for the games again and yet again I am startin with a Gold Collectors Edition of Zelda. Majoros mask may not have gotten the same attention as Ocorina of Time, but it was just as good if not better.

I am embaressed to even have this game sitting in my house. Thank god its not mine.

A fully loaded arsenal and deadly dinasours; what else could you possibly ask for? Turok is a must play

Just as good as the first two games in the series Turok 3 added better mods for multiplayer.

A must play title Perfect Dark is thrill ride you wont soon forget. It is hailed as one of the best shooters of all time. It's just too bad we dont see more good games from this franchise as Rare has failed to put quality games out since their port to Xbox.

OMG!! This game was crazy addictive. Especialy if you had a few buddies to play with. 1080 was just super sick.

Who would have thought this game would be any good? A title that proved once again that not all movie games suck... Toy Story 2 is a must play

Probably my favorite racer for this generation of consoles, Mario Kart made the party when ever you had friends over.

Super Mario 64 quit simply rocked. To this day it has one of my favorite sond tracks ever.

One of my first M rated games shadow man was as hard for me as it was cool. I just cant get over some of these game and their camera mechanics.

A sorry let down this game was. Yet again I am glad its not mine.

A revisit into this blockbuster franchise the 64 version didnt disapoint. Castalvania is one of those game you just cant go wrong with.

Last but certainly not least is Golden Eye 007. This is still my favorite FPS to date, and my second favorite overal shooter. If only all Bond games were this good.

Well here is a tribute to them.

So you walk into your local gamestop thinking your going to get a good game for yourself. While you are perusing the store shelves looking for a remaining copy of a blockbuster title you notice a collection of plastic electronics set to make your gaming experience better. So you buy one. You take it home and plug it in, only to find that its not quit what you expected. You say to yourself well I will give it another shot, or its not so bad. So you set it aside like a chump instead of taking it right back. One or two months go by and you open up your closet to find a dusty box with one of your worst purchases ever. You dust it off and try to make it look new; wich it practicly is. You take it back to Gamestop, Gamecrazy, Play N'Trade, and even Greywhale. Yet no one will take your shame in for even a few bucks. So your stuck with it. Unless you plan on throwing it in the garbage or paying shiping for the three bucks you will get off it on Ebay; you end up putting it right back in the closet were it is destined to stay forever.

I bought this racing wheel in hopes of making my GT and NFS experience even better, but was sorley disapointed in the quality of the wheel. As I was on the rode at the time, I couldnt take it back. I ended up dragging it through several hotel rooms until I got back home to find that It was no longer sold nor was it valid as a trade anywere.

This little peice of equipment is highway robbery. A way for Nintendo to take my hard earned money, and time. Not only did it suck to set up the network for this lovley device, but it also was unecisary. Litteraly one month after I bought the wi-fi connector. Nintendo makes it so I no longer need it to set up a connection. And of course you cant take it back; it's now absalete.

While these wii jackets make the wii motes easier to grip, they fall short in functionality. Unlike Sony, both Microsoft and Nintendo made you purchase your own bateries, wich need to be constantly changed. These wii jackets are such a pain to get on and off to change the batterie that I have just tossed them aside and forgoten about them. and honestly what game store would give you credit for those.

Ahh the story of the multitap. The problem with this great invention lies in good games that use its functionality.....wich is basicaly none. Being a Nintendo owner who realy enjoyed four player games I snatched this prize up only to find it was usless for my personal needs. As everything for the ps2 is super cheap now, this item only fetches one or two dollars at stores. hardly worth trading in.

Hey you know how you wanted to clean your game so it would play better. Well how about you just completly scratch the hell out of it and pay us to do it!!!! Oh and no refund lol. No one even glances at somthing like this at a yard sale.

Well these ar some of my things I just cant get rid of. Feel free to tell me about yours.

It has set the standard for what gamers want out of a racing title. The unfortunate downside to such a long run is that the quality of the games has decreased dramatically. Even EA Games president Frank Gibeau is quoted in PSX latest newsletter as saying "failed to put
adequate resources behind the franchise and, as a result, quality
suffered.". Although the quality was lacking in the last few instalments that hasn't stop NFS from being a giant cash cow, with over 100 million overall copies of the various NFS titles sold.

With Games like NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and NFS Underground its easy to wonder just what went wrong with this racing power house. Perhaps it was the open world seal of doom, or the pimp my ride focus. Maybe it was just the monotony. My bet is on all three as they make their first appearance in NFS Underground 2.

Need For Speed Underground 2 was a highly anticipated title. Yet for most consumers they gave it the ever so popular Epic Fail, despite the average 8/10 review score. It seems that this was the tip of the Iceberg as every title since has been a hit or miss.

So how do you save a dying franchise. By handing over the reins to someone who is already making triple A titles. Electronic Arts has given the latest instalment to Criterion Games developer of the Burnout franchise. Who can blame them as Burnout Paradise is an online sensation.

Burnout Paradise is by far the best non-simulating racer released this console generation, and has an active online community that never quits playing. With this game being such a great success it makes me wonder if Criterion can pump the NFS franchise back up with a similar formula.

So there you have it. Probably not news to many readers, but I would like to get the reaction of the GI community and see what everyone thinks. I think this will probably be the best NFS to date, and will finally give me something to look forward to again in these ever so amazing franchise.

Welcome to my first edition of My Console. This is where I will be talking about my consoles and the great memories I have had with them. Todays pick of the crop is the Nintendo Entertainment System, better known as NES. Don't ask me how I managed to steal this treasure away from my seven siblings as it was the "family's console". This robust peice of equipment has managed to sustain my gaming needs even in the most dry spells of tripple A titles. However old this console has got, it still runs like new. Ok newish. And its all because of my helping friend, the padded stick from my Cleaning Kit.

Despite everyone constantly blowing in their NES to get it to work. I find that its much more efective to clean it properly. It prevents you from using your lungs for at least to game changes lol.

Who can forget the NES controler. Its perfect simplicity has been adding caluses to players thubs for decades.Only one of there epic controllers has managed to survive in my house. However one of its counterfiet buddies has managed to limp around its self.

A pioneer in the button mashing comunity, this controler paved the way for more hardware cheating. Ladies and gentlemen the Turbo Pad. A controller that litteraly makes you feel like a gaming wizard, as it presses the button faster for you. Simply hold down the red buttons and you will magically run, shoot, and jump faster. Its too bad that its cord is inferior to nintendos however.

Remember when that tight wad friend pointed out that you shouldnt roll up your cord around the controller, well here is why. I can't even count the times this cord has been fixed. Oddly enough it works perfectly withought that white wire.....?

Who can truley say they played the NES withought having weilded the Nintendo Zapper. I can still hear the click and ringing of the trigger....oh maybe I should stop playing Duck Hunter and finish this blog.

Finally the games!!. Perhaps my most prized game of all my libraries combined is my Zelda II The Adventures of Link. The battery still works, and has my moms save file from 1994.

Ever since I was a kid I loved to play with blocks. No not wooden cubes. Multicolored virtual blocks raining from the sky. I still play Tetris regularly, as the newer versions of the game have continualy failed to release the same amount of endorphines in my brain.

Why play any other mega man when you have Mega Man 2. Seriously why?

Contra gets my vote for the best co-op of all time. What other game do you get to steal your buddies extra lives because you suck lol.

Aww the power line instructions, what were they thinking?

A must own Yo-Noid kept me glued to the tv for days. Who dosent like Noids that eat pizza and hit baddies with yoyos.

Like getting sucked into whirl pools time and time again then this is the game for you. Toobin', one of Tengen's best games.

"Movies To Games Goes Right" This is still my favorite movie game. I can still here the techno like soundtrack to Batman.

I only hold onto this one for respect of its sequal. Not that its not fun, but its just not as epic.

I havnt bought a single Hockey game since this one. I have tried some, but Ice Hockey has stood the test of time. This game is Friggin Sweet.

Duck Tales!!!! oh wait its the game not the show...Duck Tales!!!! Simply amazing.

OMG this was seriously the best instalment of the Franchise. Gauntlet just felt epic.

Wait skateboarding and throwing fire balls on a crazy Island....who would have thought it would be fun as hell.

Add this game to the list of Games to Movies Gone Right. This game was chalanging as it was fun.

This is the best game I ever bought used. Super Spy Hunter was like an action packed movie driving in your hand.

The adventures of chip and dale was suprisingly more fun than you can imagine. Unlike Snake, Chip and dale can hide in boxes and lay the smack down with them.

So many times I got near the finish only to die....so sad...so sad. Milons secret Castle is a sun soft masterpeice.

Bugs bunnys Birthday Blowout was the first game I finished.Period. It gave me that wave of acomplishment that has kept me gaming all these years.

I want this game redone in HD. Boulder Dash was my favorite puzzler on both the NES and the PC. More so on the pc as it had its own level Creator.

Weaopon upgrades galore. Uncle Festers Quest is as hard as it is fun. I hat party hats because of this game.

I hope you all enjoyed the ride. If you have any questions about the games or the console. Just ask

Why run?

I run because it is a passion
because when I run the whole world is my element
because the earth falls beneath my feet
because a great expanse of land is conquered in seconds
because it is my destiny

I run because my body is a machine
because I can
Because as long as I will it, I can keep going
Because my muscles will endure all
because no matter who you are, when you run a mountain is a hill

I run because, nothing can catch me
because the world is beautiful and I can see all
because one misstep can be fatal
because I no longer face wind, I am wind
because it is my instinct, my very being

I run because it is my core, a passage way to tranquility
a piece of mind, a purification of my body
it is an avenue in which all is possible
because if I were to run fast enough, I would tred the ocean, cross the world

I run because I need nothing else
because all the pleasures in the world are expressed through my feet
because if I don't the world closes in, its gravity refusing to let me go
because I am bound to it, and nothing is its equal
because it is limitless

I run because it expects nothing back
because it exilirates the body
because through all this I am its willing captive,
and if I were to be set free, I could not exist,
my essence would evaporate,
my entire being would mold back into the ground from which it came,
never to be seen again

why do I run?
because it is me
and i am it
