OK, granted, it may already did. As you know, Game Newell and Pardo from Blizzard Entertainment both said that Windows 8 is a "Catastrophe." But is that really true? I, JordanTheGamer, are about to look into this issue more through this Blog post. Enjoy!
He isn't the only one that hates Windows 8. I too, who bought every version of windows since Windows 98, hate this piece of crap know as "Hardware" . First, Windows 8 has strict hardware requirements on what can run Windows 8...
Wait. WHAT!?!
Didn't they have a problem with Windows Vista? The absurd requirements for that system? So, this is an entire repeat of that? Microsoft, if your seeing this, fix this issue. Consumers will be upset. Trust me. I know....
Right now, STEAM is now available through IOS, Android, and Amazon app store. But, Microsoft has restrictions with their mobile version of Windows 8, and, everything has to go through them due to quality concerns. I understand that, but what about millions people who want to run Steam via Windows 8 Mobile? Nope. Steam store would be "Locked Out" from those mobiles version. Seriously, Microsoft, what the heck?
According to Game Informer user "Mike", he says that Windows 8 could run Windows Vista,7, and even Windows XP software. The reason I brought this issue up is that Windows Vista has problems when it came to backwards compatibility with XP software. But, I've yet to see that. But I'll take Mike's word on that.
Many of you who run Windows are quite familiar with the "Start Menu". It on the bottom of your screen. Well, starting with Windows 8, there throwing that out and replacing with a brand new "Metro" design. As much as I like new ideas, many people already are used to the "Start Menu". It's been on every Windows to date if my memory serves me correct. What I hope is that Microsoft will have an option to switch to the "Start Menu" design. But then again. I don't think they will anytime soon..
So, at this point, I've voiced by concerns about Windows 8. Game developers, heed this warning, avoid Windows 8 until Microsoft can fix these problems. As for the rest of you, what do you think about Windows 8? Write down in the comments below!
Later,
JordanTheGamer.
PS: Post will be updated as more developers give their thoughts and Microsoft releases more info.
Nice. Kinda feel sad for those who use Steam.
I think it is unnecessary for Microsoft to make things harder than it should for Steam and others.
nice Window 8
