Playstation Plus April 2013 Update (U.S)

After an oddly long wait, Sony has finally revealed free games this month, which includes the infamously popular Demon Souls for free!

In addition to adding Demon Souls for free ,This week, the PlayStation 3 gets a decent update with a demo for Injustice: Gods Among Us, and a couple day one digital PS3 titles being made available on PSN.

But above all, make sure you check out the PlayStation Vita section for what could very well be a game changer for the PlayStation Vita, and turn around the system’s sales woes for good.

This month's free PlayStation Plus offerings will replace a trio of titles leaving the Instant Game Collection in April: Spec Ops: The Line, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition and Anomaly: Warzone Earth.

If none of these games thrill you, we’re also getting others for free later this month. While it’s not the best Plus update ever, the addition of Demon Souls is sure to make plenty of people very happy!

Devilish Demon’s Souls will be available for free for North American PlayStation Plus subscribers from later today. The title – which ordinarily retails for $19.99 – will have you tossing your DualShock 3 around the house for the grand sum of nothing

Former Game Informer associate editor, Phil Kollar, does a great job of summarizing this game

"Demon’s Souls has received a lot of hype for being monstrously difficult, and while it’s clearly not the kind of game you can pass in a weekend, its finer points shouldn’t be lost in all the fear. This game is tough, but also rewarding, interesting, evocative, and, in its own special way, brilliant. Add in extensive new game-plus options and the strangely compelling multiplayer, and Demon’s Souls is one of the first truly great Japanese RPGs of this generation, and certainly the most remarkable."

Fortunately, for those of you who don't want to splash out on a new controller, it’s not the only new addition to Sony’s premium subscription service this month.

Also up for grabs in April are SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny, Malicious, Labyrinth Legends, and Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge.   There’s no word on when any of the aforementioned releases will be available, but they’re guaranteed to be given away at some point over the next four weeks.
