Most recently, I have been on a bit of an achievement kick with Borderlands. Partially because Borderlands 2 is only 71 days away!! More importantly however, it's because of a crazy realization I had: Borderlands is the first game I would ever have completed 100%. I'm not the type of gamer who will pick up any old game, try it, and play the crap out of it. That said, I'm always up for trying a new game, but for me to purchase the game (used or brand new) and really commit to it, that takes a really special game for me.
So anywho, back to my kick-butt milestone. There are a total of 80 achievements in Borderlands, some of which are secret, some are commonplace, and some are a bit tricky. I currently have 61 out of 80, and here are the ones I am missing:
Can't We Get BEYOND the Thunderdome?
Win an Arena Match-25 G
There's no "I" in "Team"
Complete 15 Missions in Co-Op-30 G
Kill an enemy with the Siren's action skill-15 G
Kill 15 enemies with the Berserker's action skill-15 G
Complete the Prove Yourself mission-10 G
Reached the end of the larger challenge in the Hell-Burbia coliseum-25 G
The Angelic Ruins
Reach the end of the larger challenge in The Angelic Ruins coliseum-25 G
Reach the end of the larger challenge in The Gully coliseum-25 G
Reach the end of the 3 larger challenges with one character-40 G
Kill Crawmerax the Invincible-50 G
Reach level 51-15 G
Ding! Overleveled to 11
Reach level 61-40 G
Complete all missions in Secret Armory-25 G
Find 25 oil cans-10 G
Collect 15 Clap-Trap bobbleheads-10 G
What a party!
Collect 3 panties, 5 fish in a bag, and 15 pizzas-30 G
There are 3 secret achievements I am still missing, they are:
United We Stand- Defeat the Rakk Hive, the Vault Boss, Sledge, Krom, or Flynt in a co-op game-35G
You're on a boat!-Bet you never thought you'd be here-15 G
Sucker born every minute-Paid for a worthless tour of the world's largest bullet-10 G
As you can see, some of these are relatively easy, and I just need to get the motivation to take care of them or someone to play the game with. I am saving the tournament challenges for last, because they will take the longest and I find them the least rewarding, especially because the only XP you get is for completing the challenges.
A big thanks to xbox360achievements.org, their website is killer.
A full description of all of the achievements in Borderlands can be found here, and if anyone needs help with any of the other achievements in this game, just let me know if you have any questions or hit me up on XBL. Thanks!
