The JACKED UP Indie & Mojo Show Episode 42

This was a special week at The JACKED UP Indie & Mojo headquarters inc. We welcomed Lisa Thrasher onto the show to inject the program with some of that feminine magic. Not to mention Momma Jones is back to do a reading from Portal 2. Lisa also gives us a very interesting insight into working at Gamestop as well as telling us some horror stories from her experience playing online with the boys.

Lisa tells us why Amnesia somehow doesn’t scare her, Daniel talks about how Quantum Conundrum isn’t funny, I talk about Hawken and Jeremy explains how the Guild Wars community turned him off from the beta for Guild Wars 2. We also talk about sports games and debate the merits of charging $60 for annual releases.

Of course we discuss how Team GIO is still the number one team in Extra-Life 2012. If you haven’t signed up then you really should. It’s for a great cause, and I hear all the cool kids are doing it.

The music for this week’s episode is from the band Sleater Kinney. Check out their website for more information.

That’s it for this week. Thanks to Lisa for coming on the show and putting up with our ramblings. Seriously, there was about an extra hour of this episode that was cut because it was just ramblings and nonsensical stuff like Jeremy talking about vampires and Abraham Lincoln. Maybe that will make it into a later special bonus episode some time.

  • I really enjoyed the show, as is per usual. Keep up the good work, guys! It seems like it'd be really fun to create a podcast and the such. Looking forward to more in the near future.

Yay, Silvershine! Personally I found Quantum Conundrum to be pretty funny...but I was also playing with my neice, and whenever she laughs she cracks me up, so that might have been an influence. Great podcast gentlemen! And Lady! :D

You cut my Vampire review! I am extremely hurt. Extremely. That was good stuff!

  • I was wondering what all got cut, haha. The excess stuff should definitely be a bonus episode. So much humorous discussion. Thanks again for having me on, it was a whole lot of fun!

  • Awesome show! Silvershine was a fantastic guest with her Gamestop stories.
