I’ve been very busy lately. I have spent my time looking for a stable career, playing the newest games, and chatting with some of the most influential people in the video game industry.  I had the opportunity to meet with these game changing characters by planning lunch dates and tasking strolls in the park.  It was definitely a unique experience speaking with all of them.  We talked about everything from careers to scandals, and with their permission they told me I could share the transcripts from our conversations. So here is the first person I was able to meet with, Mr. Sonic the Hedgehog.

Me: Man I thought inviting Sonic to Sonic America’s Drive-in would be funny, but now I like it was a jerk move. Oh well too late now.

-Swoosh noise-

Me: Ah! That must be him and he is five minutes early. Glad to see it’s not the cliché, “Oh I can break the sound barrier, but somehow ends up late,” type of speedster.

Sonic: What’s up Broham!

Me: Hey Sonic, what’s going on?

Sonic: Nothin’ much man. I didn’t think you were serious about meeting at Sonic, BUT YOU WERE!!!

Me: Yeah sorry about that … but you know they have really good chili dogs.

Sonic: Whoa no way! I never knew that I always stayed away due to the name thing and because I always turned them down to be a mascot.

Me: I already ordered so don’t worry about it. So what has the Blue Blur been up to these days?

Sonic: I just ran in from the L.B.C. this mornin’. I have been spending a lot of my spare time on the west coast just trying to relax and thinking about the good ol days where I just ran and went on adventures and didn’t really care about much else.

Me: The L.B.C?!? Did not expect that, but that’s what’s up! Glad you’re enjoying yourself in your free time, and the good ol days huh? I know what you mean I didn’t mention this, but Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my very first video game.

Sonic: Radical, That’s exactly what I meant when I said the good ol days. Things were just about the fun of the run and adventure, and blast processing! Hahaha

Me: Indeed, but I would say you and SEGA have seen better times.

Sonic: …

Me: Sorry didn’t mean to get bring down the hammer.

Sonic: It’s cool I am aware that I have hit rock bottom compared to back then.

Me: What happened to you man?

Sonic: It was the Speed.

Me: I see the speed of becoming a growing super star with the demand to be better than Mario and Nintendo huh?  Also the constant need to reinvent yourself in 3D I can see how things were moving a little too fast even for you.

Sonic: I wish it was that kind of Speed …

Me: D**M!! It was like that?

Sonic: Yeah with cartoons, comics, games, and appearances I would need a lil pick me up from time to time to keep me going. You ever been playing one of my games and I just ran off a level or missed a simple jump? Yeah I had no idea what was going on at times. I mean during my “big comeback” with Sonic the Hedgehog 06 Silver was based off a hallucination I was having during the shoot. I mean as if Shadow wasn’t enough we needed another Hedgehog based off an overdose fever.

Me: hahahahahahah! Forgive me laughter, but that is just wild I mean Tails or Knuckles didn’t try to help you?

Sonic: Oh Tails was always there for me, but was never man enough to stop me I feel so bad for the way I treated him. On the other hand Knuckles had his own problems at the time with Rouge the Bat I heard she didn’t press charges, but that’s a story for another time.

Me: Well Sonic it looks like you’re trying new things and you seem to be in good health.

Sonic:  Yeah the job’s no prob when you got the SPEED you need.

Me: I see what you did there, and I like it!

Sonic: Yeah you know I got myself right and hung around some good people thanks to the support from Tails and Amy and even Eggman, who is a really cool guy when we’re not working, I have been exploring new avenues. I got some new 2D projects coming out and I even have a cross over thing going on now with Mega Man.

Me: I saw that. Along with your role in Wreak-it-Ralph and the Progressive commercial I say you’re making big moves. Anything else you have in the works?

Sonic: I can’t say too much but I got something in the works with Nike. Let’s just “You’re to Slow” is going to be hot this summer.

Me: Well Sonic our food is here. Let’s take a break and eat.

Sonic: Sorry my main man but I am going to take mine to go, the world is calling me.

Me. Well before you go is there anything you would like to say?

Sonic: Yeah. Kids remember Sonic Sez, “You know pals there are three ways not to be stupid. One stay in school, two stay in school and three. Don’t forget one and two!” Also stay the @#^% away from drugs. Catch you later!

Well that was my brief lunch with Sonic the Hedgehog. He was a pretty cool guy. Anyway I hope y’all enjoyed a peek into my personal time and let me know who you would like to see me have a conversation with. I might have already talked to them.
