Rebuilding The Armchair Gamer Podcast...

Everyone has that friend in school. You know who I'm talking about. The disorganized, klutzy friend who always seems to be getting in trouble and never quite lives up to anyone's expectations of him. Well, if that friend was a podcast- I'd be hosting it. See, to be really honest, my podcast isn't that great... We've had good episodes and bad episodes, like any show. However, the proportion of good to bad is a little off.

A show that I created for intelligent dissection of games and the people surrounding them has, in many cases, transcended into an off-kilter comedy show, except for unlike the Gamespy Debriefings or something like that- we aren't really very funny. Indeed, I have created Frankenstein and now he terrifies me.

So, I'm announcing a redesign- a reboot of my podcast.

This next week, the Armchair Gamer Podcast is going on a different track. In the past, we were a weekly podcast- releasing every weekend. We were news-based, and entirely dependent on their being good news stories to tie into our show. Now, the podcast is going to be releasing two episodes a month. This is good for two reasons. One, PodOMatic will be easier to work with, and allow older episodes to stay up longer. The other reason is that I'm going to find a lot of interesting people to talk to. Right now, I have Jonathan Holmes, a Destructoid editor, on the backburner, along with the maker of Masked.

Now, the reason I say this is just to explain why I'm not putting out as many episodes as we did earlier. Times, as the song goes, are a-changin'.
