It's like a segal movie. Only with a guy mumbling in a dramatic monotone throughout that I'm supposed to believe is an amazing actor. {I think some Seagal movies are better than Taken]

But I'll reiterate, perhaps Liam Neeson is just something I can't understand.

Slow-paced, yes. Boring, never. I was surprised by how on edge the whole film was, even during small moments in which the characters would bond.

I'm not sure about this movie. I keep hearing really mixed reviews from it. Everyone I talk to says that it's either really good or really boring.

I like Taken quite a bit. There's not much to it, but Liam Neeson elevated the otherwise rather dumb material. Then there was Unknown which was very mediocre and forgettable, even though Neeson was fine as usual.

This movie, however, is definitely NOT Taken. It actually has brains to go along with badassery. But like I said, it's also a surprisingly bleak film that really touches on difficult questions such as faith in a way that isn't preachy or ham-fisted. I highly recommend it.

Wow, I was expecting you to tear this one a new a hole. But best movie of the year? I'm not sure I can trust that after the last liam neeson movie I suffered through, of which I'm constantly reminded by the previews of this one[the one with the kidnapped daughter]. Is this just a case of me 'not getting' the actor, or is this truly a turn around?

This movie seems to be what would happen if they made a live-action horror version of South Park's Eric Cartman and his mom...

Seriously, I kinda want to watch this but I am somewhat afraid to see exactly what happens.

As a parent, I think that there is a lot to be said of the fact that sometimes, even if you do your best as a parent, your child doesn't turn out the way you hope.

A child is a separate being from the parent. I wish that people would understand this. You can no more control your child's personality than you can control the personality of your next door neighbor.

Great predictions blog! I personally love reading stuff like this because it shows the opinions and interests of other people, some that are vastly different from my own. While I'm ashamed to say that I've hardly seen any of the movies listed here, save for a couple, it did re-spark my movie flame and now I feel like watching all of them. *gasp* I think I found what I'm going to do for the weekend!
