The lights are on
Veteran Member - Level 13
So after doing a Top 10 in the fantastic group Heroines Of Video Games,(Join the group, it's great) I decided to up the ante and do a Top 25. And unfortunately, re-arrange my list a bit. But all the people I put on there are here. Now I love my female companions, or in some cases Main Characters. So here are My Top 25 Women In Games.
25.Chell (Portal)
Well no, she really doesn't talk, but she is memorable for all the awesome things she did with that gun.
24.Yuffie (Kingdom Hearts)
So you noticed I said Kingdom Hearts not Final Fantasy, right? Well I have not played a single FF game. But I have played Kingdom Hearts and she makes an appearance in 1 and 2. While I don't get to hang with her long, she is a strong person. Especially when fighting against her in the ring.
23. Tira (Soul Calibur)
What can I say? I like the evil ones. And she is really good with that.... Ring thing she fights with.
22. Miranda Keyes (Halo)
She leads the army against the covenant. Even with her fathers death, she continues the fight against the covenant.
21. Bittercup (Fallout 3)
She's one of the kids who had to be thrown out of a safe haven because of a "rule" they had. Being forced to survive in the wastes with the other kids forced out with her. she was always the outcast of the group, and I liked that. Once I sided with her on an argument, every time I visited she always brought me supplies she collected.
20. Morwen (Lord Of The Rings:The Third Age)
Despite the game not being the best LOTR title out there, Morwen was a freaking awesome person, an a skilled fighter.
19. Lydia (TES:Skyrim)
Lydia is the first companion you get in the game. She is also your housecarl for the first house you buy. But she is the most skilled fighter among all the other companions in the game.
18. Diana Burnwood (Hitman)
Diana serves to give you your contracts. You never really get to see her, only as a voice on the phone. She has been in all the games as a trustworthy agent. Shame happened in Absolution.
17. Triss Merigold (The Witcher 2)
The game has several strong female characters, but Triss stood out the most to me. Yeah sure there was Vex, and Saskia(awesome secret she has). But Triss was the more noteworthy one to me. Not only because of her magic, but I love redheads.
16. Emily Wyatt (Deadly Premonition)
The sheriffs deputy. She's kind, witty, and just fun. But can take care of herself. Deadly Premonition had a lot of... unique characters, but she was the most normal of them all.
15. Zoey (Left 4 Dead)
Going from a simple college student, to a full fledged zombie killer. She's just a favorite of mine.
14. Sgt. Wilhelmina "Billie" Church (Clive Barker's Jericho)
From her blood mage abilities to the bada** sword she carries, she was one of the more interesting characters in the game.
13. Kazooie (Banjo-Kazooie)
Kazooie can't stop appearing on my lists, can she? Sidekicks, weapons. I could have added her to the vehicles, but that would have been a little cruel. But this smart mouthed bird is memorable in all the right ways.
12.GLaDOS (Portal)
Whilst GLaDOS is not actually human, hearing her talk is the most hilarious thing I can ever hear.
"Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said "Goodbye" and you were like "No way!" And then I was all "We pretended we were going to murder you?" That was great! "
Best quote ever.
11. Cortana (Halo)
Like GLaDOS and Kazooie, she's not human. But she serves the utmost importance to the Halo games.
10. Odette (Dragon's Dogma)
Not the best quality. I had to take a picture of her with my phone. But that's the general idea of what my Pawn in Dragon's Dogma looks like. While they are not exactly human themselves, they are the best companions in all of games. Useful, resourceful, and talkative. Very talkative. My mage pawn, whom I'm changing to be a full sorcerer after I finish this blog, is the best companions I've had since HK-47
9. Tali(Mass Effect)
Mass Effect had awesome characters. And Tali was one of them. She went from being on a Pilgrimage to leading the Quarians as an advisor
8. Shaundi (Saints Row)
She may look and act just like any hippie/stoner. But she can hold herself in battle. And help with tracking down any of the other gangs leaders.
7. Wynne (DA:O)
I'm a sucker for the old people. But Wynne can hold herself in battle. Even though she is kinda dead. And she's witty. I loved her scolding me for romancing any of my crew.
6. Mission Vao (KOTOR)
She takes "Street Smarts" to a whole new level.
5. Rebecca Chang (Dead Rising 2)
Even during a zombie outbreak she stops at nothing to find the truth. The perfect counterpart to Frank in DR1. She's tough and determined. That's what I like about her.
4. Dr. Chakwas(Mass Effect)
My favorite shot of her. She's the chief medical examiner on the ship. She's a real favorite of mine because of the drinking scene in ME2. And getting her back in 3. I was a little disappointed she wasn't a romance option in 3.
3. The Leader (Saints Row:The Third)
Again, sorry for the bad shot. Same crappy phone. Even though you can make The Leader a man or Woman, they are still tough. even though your gangs color is purple, I like the red and black better.
2. Kasumi Goto(Mass Effect)
.
A master Thief. Witty, strong, and capable.
1. Morrigan(DA:O)
Do I really need to explain why I love her?
If this blog offended anyone, sorry. Sometimes that can happen with specific topics like this. But I hope you enjoyed my choices.
