I like reading peoples Top whatever lists and I did my own My Top 25 Main Characters few days back. So due to the popularity of my last Top 25 list, I'm now doing a companions list.
*Note* I'm having trouble getting used to the blog editor and am trying to figure out how to shorten these posts by dividing them in pages. I apologise in advanced with the length, If someone could help, I would appreciate it.25. Luigi (any Mario game)
Yeah I'm starting off with a popular one within the Mario Universe. While he does get his own game at one point, most players would be disappointed when they get the green counterpart of Mario. While he certainly is no Mario, he can be just as fun to play as.24. Lydia (TES: Skyrim)
She is one of the first companions you can get into this game. All you have to do is kill a dragon. While I don't like traveling with anyone in this game because I know I will "accidentally" kill them at some point I leave them at home. But she is one of the more favorable companions in the game.23. Thane (Mass Effect 2)
Thane has to be one of the coolest people in this game. He is fun to be around and Is capable in battle22. Merrill (Dragon Age 2)
Who does not love a neurotic little elf?21. Kazooie (Banjo-Kazooie)
This little bird can do nothing but help you whack the crap out of enemies while she stays in your backpack.20. The Entire Squad (Clive Barkers Jericho)
In this game you can switch between any of the six character seen above. So technically while they all serve the part of main character(as I stated Church as No 24 in my top 25 main characters list) when you are not possessing them they serve as some of the best companions.19. Carth Onasi (Star Wars:Knight Of The Old Republic)
This Republic soldier is one of the best companions out there. Sometimes he can be a little whiny when it comes to doing quests, he is one of the most enjoyable people in the game.18. Shaundi (Saints Row series)
While I do like the look of the new Shaundi I'm going back to the Shaundi I really liked. I didn't really care for the new "kill now" attitude or new voice actress, but she is still a favorite of mine.17. Lady Bow (Paper Mario)
Paper Mario consumed my childhood and Lady Bow was one of my favorite creatures in the game. I don't know why but I still find it enjoyable when she beats the crap out of enemies with her paperfan.
16. Sheva Alomar (Resident Evil 5)
Who Does not want a sexy chick who can kick a** on your side when fighting zombies? Anyone?
15. Donald and Goofy (Kingdom Hearts)
Yes, two beloved Disney characters. These two are not only helpful in fights, I'm just surprised to find them fighting in a game at all. They are Disney after all.14. Fawkes (Fallout 3)
A supermutant. A supermutant who will actually work with you. Who does not want that?!13. Mission Vao (Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic)
Am I the only one who loved her when this game first came out? And to all the people who love Liara, Mission was my first Liara.(minus the nudity)12. Minions (Overlord)
These little guys really shouldn't be considered companions when they really are the star of the game.11. Player No. 2 (Any Lego Game)
Yes, in any LEGO game out there you need the always annoying AI in player No. 2. But if you have a friend, you will have a blast, blasting the pieces off of each other.10. Dogmeat (Fallout 3)
This little K-9 is one of my favorite people in the game. Yes I know he's a dog, but he has more personality than some of the other people in the wastes.9. Veronica Santangelo (Fallout:New Vegas)
Fallout:New Vegas has it's flaws but the companions were great. Veronica was one of the toughest out there. I would take her everywhere. And it helps that her voice actress is Felicia Day.8. The Pikmin (Pikmin)
How can you not love these little guys? They are some of the most lovable and colorful(pun intended) creatures.7. Grunt (Mass effect 2)
This Krogan has to be one of the most favorable character from Mass Effect 2. it's his kill everything attitude that's what makes him fun.6. The rest of the squad (Left 2 Dead 1 &2 )
No matter who you choose everyone keeps talking throughout the campaign, they can be fun. And when the rescue is coming you shoot one of them down and the the horde tear them apart while you're making your get away.5. F.L.U.U.D. (Super Mario sunshine)
This machine does not only spray water at enemies and graffiti, it also talks to you. Interesting companion to a great game.4. Oghren (Dragon Age:Origins)
Don't you just want a crude alcoholic dwarf in your party? Who doesn't?3. Shale (Dragon Age:Origins)
A stone golem. Like the supermutant above this she a talking stone golem, with a grudge against all birds. poor birds...2. Craig Boone (Fallout:New Vegas)
There is not much to say about this guy, since he hardly talks at all. But when he does..well it's not that interesting. But he is a great sharpshooter. Only problem is he takes my kills.
1. HK-47 (Star Wars:Knights Of The Old Republic)
There is no real way of describing this awesome droid. All I can really say is "George Lucas, this is how C-3PO should have been"Hope you enjoyed!
