Dueling Network Review (PC)

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

Do you remember the good ol' days back in school when everyone played Monster Rancher, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Magic?  The chances are high, that you probably have played these wildly popular card games back then. Most of you probably stopped playing card games because of interests in girls, you thought it wasn’t cool; it was for nerds, puberty, and so on. I’m happy to tell you that card games are making a comeback and it’s time for you to jump on the Monster Rancher card game wagon with me. I am not afraid to acknowledge, that I still play Yu-Gi-Oh and that I go practically every weekend to my local card shop to play and buy cards. I also play magic but that’s a story for some other time. Now that I got you’re youth in my hands, I will end this long nostalgic intro and go into the Review of Duel Network.

Duel Network is a browser based Yu-Gi-Oh card game, so if you ever played any card game on a console or on a handheld, then you get my drift. What is interesting about Duel Network is that it is a great way to play Yu-Gi-Oh if you are on a tight budget because it’s 100% free and you get instant access to all the cards including new ones that will come out. Here are some photos from Duel Network.

Duel Network is very fun because you can duel other real players, rank up, unlock avatars, make any deck you want, save any deck you made, make closed rooms so that you and you’re friends can play alone, and chat. Sadly everything great has a downside. For example: when you load up the page, you get this cheesy intro of a Japanese erotic pop song , you have to subtract and add the life points yourself, do everything manually like sending cars to the graveyard, special summoning, shuffling you’re deck, well you get the idea. And this cause people to cheat, but you got a report button you can use happily.

This game is not recommended to any new Yu-Gi-Oh players because it has no tutorials, but if you have played or still play, then give this game a shot.  I am certain that you will love this game and be hooked on it… just don’t play it during school or work hours XD.

OVER ALL- A MUST PLAY FOR ANY YU-GI-OH FANS.

  • Decent review. I had no idea this existed until this blog. I may have to go check it out. But, you may want to look over this a few times, or at least run it through spelling/grammar check. I noticed quite a few mistakes and lines that don't make sense, like "Now that I you're youth in my hands." It got distracting.
