Portal 2 was my #1 most anticipated game this year, and it didn't disappoint. In fact, I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The gameplay was fun, the story was interesting, and the dialogue was HILARIOUS - easily one of the funniest games I've ever played (if not thee funniest.)
When I finished playing Portal 2, it left me wanting more! With that said, here's my wishlist for Portal 3. WARNING: Potential spoilers ahead. If you plan on playing Portal 2 or just haven't finished the game yet, you may want to avoid reading this for now.
An Elusive Character: In the first Half-Life, encounters with the G-Man were awesome. This silent (until the end of the game) antagonist(?) added a lot of mystery to the game - "Who is this random guy in the suit that I keep seeing?!?" When I was playing Portal 2, there were a few parts where I saw Wheatley for a brief moment, and then he'd disappear. Those moments reminded me of the elusive G-Man, and it made me think, "I'd like to see an elusive human character in the next Portal. Whether it's the Rat Man or someone else entirely, I think this would add a great level of intrigue. "Who is that person? Are they just another test subject, like me? Ah! They disappeared again! What are they doing? Where do they keep disappearing to?!?"

A Supporting Character: In the first two Portal games, Chell didn't encounter any other humans in the Aperture Science Facility. Judging by the ending of Portal 2's single player and co-op campaigns, Portal 3 would most likely feature a new human. This time around, I'd like to see at least two humans, if not more. In the co-op campaign, GlaDOS mentioned that the humans tended to compete with each other in the co-op test chambers, so it would be interesting to complete those types of chambers with an A.I. controlled human character in the single player game. Chell was the silent type, so it would be funny to see how someone more vocal reacted to GlaDOS' madness. I picture a really loud, paranoid, panic stricken supporting character... completely freaked out by the fact that GlaDOS is trying to kill them...
I hate to use another Half-Life series character as an example, but... Alex was a great supporting character! I'd love to see a supporting, human character in Portal 3.
Exploration: As much as I love the simplicity of the Portal series, I'd really love the ability to explore more when I'm in the areas outside of the test chambers. Portal 2 gave me a taste of exploration, but I want more! And I want more stuff to find, too... :)
A Prequel: This one is separate from my other ideas - I'd like to see a game (or maybe just a flashback) that goes back to the early days of Aperture Science, when Cave Johnson was still alive (HAHA! See what I did there?) I have a sneaking suspicion that Caroline is Chell's mom. I know... Cave Johnson may be a little too old to be Chell's dad, but... he could have had a kid later in life. Plus, we don't know how old Chell is (though she does look like she's in her 20s.) Portal 2 planted this thought in my head, and I want to know if it's true or not!

Wheatley: I want more Wheatley! As much as I loved Cave Johnson's recordings, I'd say Wheatley was my favorite character in Portal 2.
