The lights are on
Montgomery, AL - A family of four is suing Konami, creators of the world-renowned "Frogger" series, for the death of their pet frog, Fluffy, which they claim was caused by the game. Purportedly, Alan Davison, father of two, was playing Frogger in the family room, in plain view of Fluffy for "about an hour or so," claims Davison. Shortly thereafter, his son, Marcus, brought his pet outside to play.
"Well, we don't have a fence or anything, so I guess we should have been a little more careful," says the boy, mournfully. "But Fluffy never tried anything like this before."
The frog headed straight towards the main road that borders the family's home, but the boy wasn't fast enough to catch up to him. Mr. Davison explained what happened next. "He just hopped straight into the road, I'll tell you. The first car missed him, but the next one got him pretty quickly." Clearly, the frog wasn't paying close attention to the game and didn't know to keep moving once you dodge a car.

"He just stood there," chimed Marcus. There wasn't even anything on the other side of the road for him to watch out for." The father ran outside after hearing his son's screams of terror, only to find the body of their once lively frog in the road.
"It was a sad few days for all of us, really. We couldn't figure it out at first. Then I remembered what I had been doing earlier that day and everything was clear." The family held a private funeral at their home and soon after, started on the paperwork to prevent this tragedy from happening to further families.
"We went through a lot of pain because of this game... I never thought video games influenced behavior before," explains Alan, "but this really woke me up."
The Davisons are asking for $6 million in damages and calling for a ban on the game. Mr. Davison claims it's not out of greed, but out of fear of what could happen should the game remain available to the public.
"We all just want to get this behind us and try to live our lives as normal as possible. The house is quite uncomfortable to be in without Fluffy here..."
Is this a joke or is this a real lawsuit? If its real, spend ten bucks and get another frog.
Just when I thought people couldn't get any dumber. I don't like frogger anyway .
Lol. Just awesome. Hope they win the "suit".
Read the tags, guys. It's fake. I just had the idea for this one in the shower randomly.
Wait...you mean someone actually thought this was real? Lol. That's just funny.
Lol
i should sue that family for being dumbas***, i mean come on people, it has nothing to do with the video game! Jeez could you be any more greedier.
@LunarStarFox
Yeah... you should take a look at some of the comments on my Lego Call of Duty article. That's some good stuff. Apparently, I can be pretty convincing. Haha.
i think i should be called a dumb***** for not reading the tag.
i know i know read the article before you comment.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...oh man this is to fricken funny. Please tell me that this isnt real.
Wow.... way too much time on your hands dude.
@mooglelover1
This is what I do. Once in a while there's serious articles, but most of the time I write GameInfarcer-esque articles since I seem to get the best response on those. It's also more fun coming up with these stories though, so I stay away from the serious articles unless they're really important to me.
This one was partially inspired by the various real lawsuits filed over deaths supposedly caused by video games. I just took a lighter spin on the issue and presented it in a more comedic fashion.
Who the heck names a frog Fluffy?
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
*breathes in*
This is a great story to put in Game Infarcer. Keep 'em coming man.
You just came up with this? Somebody has too much time on their hands...
wow I'm almost in tears about....... what the heck no I'm not is this a fake but even so a FROG?!?!? If this is true then what the heck why are they blaming a game for their problems?
What the freakin heck? I doubt if the they will actualy be able to sue them for something as stupid as that but you never know, our world is pretty twisted...
This is nothing. You should've seen the story about what happened after some family let their parrots watch "Birds".
