Final Fantasy Agito XIII is a Role-Playing game, developed and published by Square Enix, scheduled to be released in 2010.
Final Fantasy Agito XIII is a video game for the PlayStation Portable [1] which, alongside Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, makes up the compilation Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII so far. The game is not a sidestory to Final Fantasy XIII; it is part of one story which will have shared themes and myths around which all the Final Fantasy XIII games will be centered.
Twelve characters have been revealed so far, all appearing to be students. Their weapons include a longsword, a katana, handguns, a shotgun, a mace, a bow and arrow, a spear, a scythe, an extending flail, martial arts, a flute, and a deck of Tarot cards.
The game's plot is thought to be "massive" and is still being finalized as of June 2009. The game is set in a magic school named Akademeia and will gradually expand to the larger world outside of the school. It is described as an online RPG, but not "massively multiplayer". It's been recently revealed that Orience is the name of the world, and the antagonizing military country is called Milites. A peace treaty is supposed to be in effect with the four countries, but Cid of Milites has sent his l'Cie soldiers to war with the neighboring countries. Other areas have been revealed recently called Rubrum, Anaze, and Kogai.
From the IGN Impressions of the trailer that was debuted at Square Enix's closed door party, DKΣ3713, it was revealed that there is a militaristic nation that, due to the machination and rallies of their leader, began conquering all of its neighboring nations. The nation went unimpeded until they came across a lone island kingdom isolated from the rest of the continent that was apparently being protected by a giant crystal and is also said to worship a god named Suzaku. However, for reasons unknown, the crystal shatters, seemingly leaving the nation vulnerable to be attacked. The kingdom's fear is realized when a cloaked woman, wielding a "whip sword" along with other blades, appears with a massive army in formation behind her. The trailer continues with random bits of fighting in CG along with gameplay, and ends with the main character sticking a flag in the ground, which is most likely that of the kingdom nation, rallying her allies. It is also confirmed that the nation's military has been destroyed.
well this should be interesting to say the least. another psp title for the FF series is always great in my book. i just think so much of my life os gonna be sucked into these games as i try to figure out they connection between them all.
Well they are part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis compilation. Square Enix has said that Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and Final Fantasy Agito XIII are not related in anyway except that the share the same myths and beleifs.

Nice info man, yeah I am excited for it, and since you got some info on Agito, have you heard of if versus and 13 are going to be released as a box set, or seperate?
Actually I have, it's just a rumor. They wouldn't release both of them together because Final Fantasy Versus is a PS3 Exclusive and the 360 can't handle it. But Final Fantasy 13 will be on the ps3 and 360. So the list goes:
Final Fantasy XIII: Ps3 and 360

Final Fantasy Agito XIII: Psp
sweetness, can't wait for it, was hoping for a bundle pack on the ps3 but guess beggars can't be choosers.
Nope lol. I wish. Final Fantasy Versus XIII comes out after FFXIII anyways. I just hope both have a special edition or limited edition OR collector edition.
oh well, i've only been able to dig up very limited info in versus anyways, guess they wanna keep it hush hush for some reason. From what I've read the combat is going to be similiar to that of Kingdom Hearts which caught me by surpise. Than they mentioned some parts maybe in third person, which shocked the hell out of me as well. It's gonna be a sick game, wonder which one will be the better of the series.

I think that its awesome. I'm looking forward to FFVXIII the most out of the 3. I don't know if the just want to keep it all hush hush, I thinnk its more ok we have not 1, not 2, but 3 major final fantasy games to deliver that are not spinoffs, sequels, or prequels but are actually their own experince within a certain degree similar just in myths and beleifs but follow their own path.
I don't know which will be the best but you have to look at some points to them:
FFXIII: Traditional Fanil Fantasy
FFVXIII: Kingdom Hearts Style and Darker Story
FFAXIII: Plays like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
You also have to look at the playable characters. I'm not sure fully right now but I will try to count them out later but FFAXIII has 12 playable characters. Which I'm looking forward to using the staff guy and the bow and arrow guy the most.
very true, so far FFAXIII has the 12 that are known, XIII has the 6 that are known, and there are only three known for versus, guess more and more will be released in the upcoming months, it is exciting though that after years of wait to get a new final fantasy game. And than bam we get three right around the same time, and actually 5 if you wanna count the one for the Wii, and FFXIV.
True. I think FFVXIII will just have Noctis as the only playable sinces its like Kingdom Hearts.
I also have to check because I read somewhere that FFAXIII might have infastructure(online) play. Might anyways, so I still got to look into that.

Yes I just recently got into the series myself. Final Fantasy is one of the few series I heard about when I was a kid but didnt try. I wouldn't know where to tell you to start because there are better experts to tell you but from my experience there is a lot of games around Final Fantasy VII, which seems to be the most popular. I also see FFVIII and FFX have been very popular.
If you are intrested in those FFVII is on the PSN, FFVIII should be out on NA PSN soon(already on Japans), and FFX is cheap at gamestop or amazon.com lol
I've been a fan of final fantasy since i was 12, i started with FFVII and was blown away. i'm really looking forward to final fantasy 13 and Agito. the PSP needs a new final fantasy title.
