WELCOME TO ANOTHER

DO GAMERS KNOW THEIR COVER ART!

Welcome one and all to my cover art guessing game. These posts occur twice a month, with the first post of each month being somewhat easy and the second post of each month being more of a challenge.

There is a very easy way to view the pictures without scrolling. Simply click on the first picture in the post and a gallery of sorts opens up and all you have to do is click on the picture again to go to the next photo. Or of course you can simply scroll down. Your call.

If this is your first time allow me to explain how this works. I will post a picture of a video game's cover art almost entirely blacked out. Each picture after that will slowly reveal more of the cover art and it's your job to figure out what game it is with as little of the picture as possible. The cover art can be from any system, any game, past, present, and even future if it has yet to release. I look forward to hearing how well (or poorly) you did in the comments. Sound good? Good.

ANSWER: Mag

SCORE:

1-4: Raven Industries! The best PMC in the game!

5-8: Valor Company! I hated these guys...

9-12: S.V.E.R.! Couldn't even hate this PMC, no one played them.

13-15: PSN outage...RIP Zipper Interactive :(

Mag is one of those games that was so terribly underrated it made me sad. The game was an ambitious project that did so many things really well, I wish it had caught on enough to merit a sequel. 256 players took to a somewhat large scale battlefield with your typical attack and defend mission design. The game wasn't perfect by any means, but for its time it really did some amazing things. The sheer number of players was the most impressive aspect of this game. It was stupid fun, especially the sniping, but the game did suffer from a lack of maps and overall content. I personally played it for a few months though, which for an online game at the time was fairly impressive. Anything that wasn't SOCOM that I played for more than a week was a big deal (until I really got into Call of Duty at least). This game also holds a special place in my salty heart where I experienced one of the most rage inducing moments in my video game life. We were loading into the game, me and a squad of my friends, and one of my "buddies" says he is going to knife someone as soon as the game loads. This meant he was going to kill a teammate right off the bat. That teammate just so happened to be me. It has gone down as one of the most memorable and hated moments for me and quite a few people I still game with to this day still bring it up every now and then. For the record, I'm still salty.

So? How'd you do??? I know this one is a bit obscure and it is your basic military game cover, but if you knew what it was let me know! See you again on the first of the month...if I'm not late that is.
