WELCOME TO ANOTHER

DO GAMERS KNOW THEIR COVER ART!

Welcome one and all to my cover art guessing game. These posts occur twice a month, with the first post of each month being somewhat easy and the second post of each month being more of a challenge.

There is a very easy way to view the pictures without scrolling. Simply click on the first picture in the post and a gallery of sorts opens up and all you have to do is click on the picture again to go to the next photo. Or of course you can simply scroll down. Your call.

If this is your first time allow me to explain how this works. I will post a picture of a video game's cover art almost entirely blacked out. Each picture after that will slowly reveal more of the cover art and it's your job to figure out what game it is with as little of the picture as possible. The cover art can be from any system, any game, past, present, and even future if it has yet to release. I look forward to hearing how well (or poorly) you did in the comments. Sound good? Good.

Alright. So I've never played Xenoblade Chronicles. By the time this one hit the Wii I had already moved on to the PS3 and left the Wii far behind. That being said, I am currently the proud owner of a Nintendo Switch and I spent most of my day at work today selling Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I've gotta tell you, I am interested in playing the new game. It also inspired this post and since I rarely get to do one of these posts during a launch I thought it would be a good fit. The Switch has really kind of killed it in its first year on the market. It has 2 solid "Game of the Year" contenders looking at Breath of the Wild and of course Mario, it has surprisingly gotten great support from Bethesda with Doom and Skyrim, and it's finishing the year strong with Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I honestly don't know how the Switch can hope to top this year going into 2018, but the likes of Pokemon, Metroid, and even Shin Megami could prove to keep the Switch's momentum going strong. 2017 in general has been one of the best years in gaming I've ever seen and even with all the crazy awesome games we were treated to this year, my hype for next year is incredibly high, especially with PSX right around the corner!

So? How'd you do??? I'll be back on the 15th with my last post of 2017! See you all then.
