So we've known for awhile that the incoming Xbox Live update would feature the addition of Twitter, Facebook and But it looks like Microsoft has had a few tricks up its sleeve this whole time. In addition to the inclusion of music and social networking features, the update will include dedicated stores for Lips, Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Also, a new channel called "News and More" will feature content from, MSN Autos, The New Yorker and Dilbert.

I can't deny my own excitement for integration and I can certainly see the appeal of social network stuff and game-specific stores. But considering the dashboard's already cluttered and slow approach to navigation, I can't really see myself setting aside extra time to browse the news or read comic strips on my console.
