The Great People of GIO!

GIO is like my home away from home. This is one of those unique corners of the internet not consumed with trolls and people of that sort. Sure we have problems, but nothing is perfect. Recently I've been reading a lot of blogs, such as Saint's, Getting to Know The Game Informer Community (Even More) and Mray's One Year Later post in the Brony group. Today I read a blog by The Midnight Mayor that listed a lot of the awesome people on this site, and what makes them awesome.

I figured I should do the same. So in no particular order, this is why GIO is one of the best places on the internet:

Anticitizen-One: Anti, while not around all the time, has some of the greatest blogs this site has ever seen. They are always well thought out, and masterfully written. They are long, but well worth it in the end. Any one of his post, whether it be about Batman, Mass Effect, or Skyrim, are worth reading.

benderstrike64: benderstike was a faithful reader of my 31/31, and I couldn't thank him enough for that. On almost every post he had something nice to say. Now he is doing a 31/31 of his own, and you should certainly check it out.

BlackHeartedWolf: BHW created the 30/30 challenge, a challenge to blog once a day for an entire month. We have seen that challenge grow and change, but it is still his creation. He got me to do it, and changed the way I write for ever. He helped me along the way and increased my writing ability ten-fold. I don't know where I would be on this site without him.

TheClassyOne: See, not alphabetical order! TheClassyOne did a blog series called goal check a long time ago, and it was one of the first I read on the site. It inspired me to blog, and I am hoping to bring that series back soon. He was a key person in bringing me into writing on GIO, and my first recorded friend on the site,

Mray901: This guy got me into one of the greatest groups the internet has ever seen, The Brony Group. I am not super active in the group, but it is an incredible place. He introduced me to the show, MLP:FiM, which i love now, and is just an all around great guy. I've talked to him often and followed his podcast (bring it back!) faithfully. Mray is also a featured blogger, and he definitely deserves it, as he is one of the best members this site has ever seen.

Saint: This man is a legend. Member Herding, Blog Herding, Guess that Gamer, the list goes on and on. Not to mention he is one of the most consistent, in both quality and quantity, bloggers on this site. Everything he writes is gold, and he is always there to interact with the community. His blog pretty much inspired this one. He inspires a lot of people, and for good reason. He is definitely one of the most prolific members on this site.

Drym Shyuan: Drym really isn't around anymore, but I still consider him one of my greatest friends on the site. We started around the same time, and have talked on both GIO and Skype quite a bit. He read and followed my 31/31 faithfully, and has followed all of my blogs. He is also a great writer, and though he said he wasn't really interested in it much anymore, he is still going to be one of those people I look to for inspiration.

Chris MrVicka: Chris is great. He has been banned twice, at least, but always finds his way back into the site. And I'm thankful for that. He is easily one of the greatest writers and audience members on the site. Every time he leaves a comment, it will be constructive and detailed. He will help you improve your writing. Currently doing a 31/31, and it is incredible.

Derreck: The creator of the Reader Recap, something I have been a part of for a while. Even when I ma not blogging, which is not all that often, I try to stay involved. The Reader Recap was one way to do that. Looking at the magazines and sharing my thoughts on it is awesome. It is great to have been a part of the reader recap.

Stranger: I always seem to be getting caught up in this guys crazy plans. I'm hosting the fragfest event this weekend, thanks to him. I helped him with the community corner (a little bit). And you know what... I love it. Stranger is an incredible blogger, active community member, and just a really nice guy. I have talked to him on Skype more than anyone from the site. I became a GIO Skype chat mod because of him, and we talked ever since. I love helping him with his projects, and he is a huge motivator in keeping me blogging and active. Stranger inspires a lot of my blogs, and without him, I probably wouldn't be doing this right now. He is one of my favorite members of the site, hands down.

God Of Irony: This guy is the real reason why I started watching MLP. Mray wrote the blog, but this guy pushed me to do it. His drawblogs are awesome, and he is very active in the Brony Skype chat. Not to mention he is hilarious.

Mojomonkey12: Mojo is the greatest audience members on Gameinformer. He is always there to greet new members, comment on blogs from everyone, and is one of the leaders in the Team GIO effort for Extra Life. He also co-host a great podcast, The Indie and Mojo show. I've talked with him on Skype and twitter, and he is just a great person to talk to. I always look forward to seeing Mojo comment on my blog, because I know he always will.

Oni No Tenshi: One of the few female members I know of, and one of the best bloggers I've ever seen. She always has great topics and an interesting take on them. She isn't around so much anymore, not really sure what happened, but I really hope she can come back to blogging again. Her blogs were always fun to read.

Sora3Ben: A fellow Kingdom hearts fan. He created a skype chat just to talk about Kingdom hearts. Not to mention he is a great guy to talk to . I also plan on writing a co-review with him for the KH 3D demo. He doesn't blog very often, but he is usually around to comment and gives great support.

DeadManWalking: A huge Star Wars (Boba Fett) fan. I was around whenever Deadman started, and I've talked to him ever since. I had him proofread my Star Wars fanfiction, and he practically helped create the character. We recently did a co-blog together, which was a lot of fun. Talking with Deadman is always a good time. He is funny, and just really entertaining. Not to mention that when he blogs, they are always great post that I enjoy reading immensely.

Le Hannibal: Le Hannibal is one of the newer members of the site, but he has already made a name for himself. His ongoing rivalry with Jolt is great, and he is a huge Batman fanboy. He is also one of the only people I've actually played games with on GIO. We played a mission or two on Halo Anniversary (Oh the Lag). It was a really good time though. He his currently co-blogging a 31/31, but all of his blogs are great.

There are so many of you that I could talk about. Apozem, DJH, Ali Rapp, silvershine8, Hut, and so many more, but this blog is getting long and I am getting tired. These guys are just some of the reason that I've stayed on GIO. They are the heart and soul of the community. You guys are all awesome.

Even if you didn't make the list, that doesn't mean you aren't awesome. All of you guys are awesome. I just don't have enough room to fit in everyone. Please, if you don't know these guys, make an effort to get to know them. They are all incredible people, and they are willing to help you out in everything you do on the site. Good luck, hope you enjoyed.
