The lights are on
After I read the review for GI's newest "perfect" game, I decided to take some time out of both mine and your "lives" to give my thoughts on all of the games that GI has given that oh so rare score. Well, the ones I played anyway. Here's Part 1.

Out of the number of games GI has rated 10/10 I have played 0. I know it sucks. No GTA4, GOW3, MSG4 none of them! I'm going to go cry now.

GTA IV, BioShock, and Resident Evil 4 all definitely deserve the scores. I've played them, and they are fricking fantastic.
Zelda, MGS, and GoW3 I can't comment on, since I haven't finished them.
CoD4 was very good, but I don't think a 10 good. It's hard for me to say though, because I played it around the time that 2 came out, so it was old by then. Had I played it when it first came out, when I hadn't tried some of these other 10's, I might agree.
And PS2 was not the superior version of RE4. It had more content, but the GC version was the original killer version. No one can take that away from them. My family owned 3 copies at one point.

I am just giving my honest thoughts on them. Why would I cut down great games? I'm not doing a roast, I'm not funny enough to pull that off. Though if I believe a game doesn't deserve a 10, then I'll put it. Right now, it looks like the only ones I'll be disagreeing with will be Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Halo 2.

I'm just saying the PS2 version is superior because A) it's the only version I played (though from what I've read, the Gamecube version does look better), and B) because it has a bunch of added stuff. No disrespect to you or your family.
Hard to argue with what I've read so far.
