The lights are on
GI recently ran a story about the impending 2012 release of yet another installment in the godforsaken pile of s--- that is Resident Evil. As a fan of the games and movies that don't suck, I absolutely despise the Resident Evil films. While they are fun to mock Mystery Science Theater-style, that's about all the good that can be said about them. They are just awful.
Thankfully, I'm not alone in my views. When GI announced the new movie, the reaction in the comments was... well see for yourself. The comments were hilarious.
The first one was from Baggachips and basically sums up the perspective from the fans.
Very true. The RE movies have done more damage to the series' image than not being able to move and shoot.
The next comment from conner clark is straightforward and sums up the movie-goer's perspective.
But how? How do you improve a giant, steaming pile of crap?
That would work. Plenty of people would pay good money to see Milla Jovovich naked. That's why Transformers 2 did so well, it had Megan Fox. After looking at some of the other comments, this seems to be a somewhat common idea.

hahah this is so funny and so true! I wouldn't mind seeing her naked though!
I actually liked the Resident Evil movies, but that's because I knew that there's no such thing as an adequate translation of a game to movie, something which many people have failed to learn to realize. The movies tie most of the story events from the game and make a rather fun popcorn movie...
Sorry if they didn't make sweet mouth love to all the RE fanboys...
All RE movies are garbage they are just so cheesy they don't do justice to the games.
Well, we have to be fair to the movies. We can't just say that the Resident Evil movies suck because they don't do the games justice. Remember, they're still awful when judged solely as films.
