The lights are on

Brandon and I are reunited for the holidays, and we decided to get together every evening until Christmas Eve to watch a Christmas movie every night. We both love the holiday, and the movies to boot. So in the interest of keeping my blog about Brandon, I'll let you know what he thought of the movies.
The Polar Express: 9.5/10
Believe it or not, I have never seen this movie before tonight. Brandon was baffled. Thank God it was on TV, otherwise Brandon would've thrown a fit.
I loved it. It truly has the spirit of Christmas. The animation was spectacular, the story was classic, but most important of all was that it made me feel warm and fuzzy. I like movies that do that. And Tom Hanks provided the voices for the grown-ups of the movie, so that was a bonus (you can't go wrong with Mr. Hanks).
If you've never seen this, it's about a boy who is at the age level where he should start considering that there is no Santa. He's woken up in his bed by a train coming to a screeching halt right outside of his house, and he goes to investigate. Turns out it's going to the North Pole. Reluctantly, he eventually gets on and heads to the North Pole on the train filled with kids just like him. He meets some good friends along the way and gets into a couple of hijinks and blah blah blah. Also, read the classic book by Chris Van Allsburg. You wont regret it.
