Lego Group is celebrating its 80th anniversary this month. I always knew this company had a lengthy history, but I've never taken the time out of my day to read up on its pre-Lego days. I'm glad I didn't. Lego Group recounts its early days in the lovingly-crafted CG short film The Lego Story. While much of this company's success revolves around an inventor having a great idea, the road it took to get to that point is not what I expected. You can watch the entire movie below.

That was a great video. I knew that they had a pretty long history, and also that they started with wooden toys, but not how they came to what they were today.
Wow this is pretty cool.
Terrific! We still have so many Legos at my house that we're practically buried in them! What a family the Christensens are! Thanks Lego.
sweet video, I didn't know lego was that deep
Legos are so fun! They even got more amazing (if that was possible) when they got all those licenses.
