"Don't Copy That Floppy" - The Early 90s Anti-Game Piracy Rap

by Matt Helgeson on Apr 29, 2014 at 10:11 AM

Think you want to copy Oregon Trail or Neverwinter Nights? Better check yourself before you get checked by rapper Disc Protector.

I'm very much against game piracy, but I couldn't help but get a chuckle from this old-school anti-game piracy PSA rap video. Man, Disc Protector's clothes alone are amazing. Also, about halfway through Craig Dysktra, a designer on the original Neverwinter Nights, explains the game and how it's made by a team of people.

Thought it might be good for a chuckle. But the message is correct: a lot of people work on a game so don't....copy that floppy! Or download that floppy or whatever it is you crazy kids do nowadays.
