Two Worlds II is an open-world RPG designed for people who like to have fun. Here are three reasons why I'm having an absolute blast with it.
1. OstrichesOne of the first places you explore is a savanna, populated with rhinos, baboons, and warthogs. Also, there are ostriches. I can't think of many games that let you fight ostriches. If you headshot one with an arrow, sometimes the physics models act a bit goofy and the dead birds will shoot into the air. I'm not complaining about that.
2. UmbrellasIn the last quest I finished, I had to fight a bunch of demon-possessed umbrellas. They put up a pretty good fight, considering they were umbrellas.
3. MagicI've read a few reviews of the game that say mages are underpowered. The people who say that obviously didn't stick around with the class, and I understand why. When you first start out, mages are underpowered. The thing is, when you level up your skills, you actually become better at being a mage. Pretty crazy, no? I wrote down what my mage typically does in battle, and it sounded like the insane rantings of a hyperventilating child.
That said, here's what my mage typically does in battle: He summons three death knights, and before they rush in to attack the bad guys he casts Eye for an Eye on them, which returns 380 percent of damage dealt to each death knight back to the bad guy. Then he runs around and backstabs enemies while they freak out and try to determine which death knight they should attack first. It is hilarious and satisfying.
Is Two Worlds II a perfect game? AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no. Is it fun and rewarding for people who take the time to settle in with it and learn how to play? Heck yeah.

All the reason listed above is why I want to buy this game. Lol umbrellas??
8 player cooperative multiplayer was really my biggest reason.
Im currently loving this game.
Cheesy? Yes.
Overhyped? for sure.
Lifechanging? Quite possibly.
If they polish combat and dialog up Two worlds could be Ace.
I want it so bad, but I figured it'll take a price slice here pretty soon.
This is gonna be my filler till Skyrim comes out.
Hmmm... This is the type of game super replays be about.
I second the super replay motion!
i'm about 5 hrs in, not including a few hours in co-op, and am loving it. but it took about that long before gameplay really started to open up, so i agree people need to stick with it to really appreciate all it offers. now that i'm lvl 8 with upgraded weapons and abilities plus a horse, causing havoc on the savannah is pretty fun. nice observations(my own to follow shortly.)
Who the hell said mages were UNDERPOWERED?! Crazy people. I'm really glad people are enjoying this game. I was afraid it wouldn't be a well received as I believe it deserves because of the little "meh" points in the gameplay. I'm pleased I was mistaken.
Why is your mage running around backstabbing, lol? I've always just kept my distance and chucked fireballs at my enemies as a mage. This looks interesting, but not worthy of a buy from me. Tack it on to Gamefly.
Hahaha sounds awesome. Your totally right though, good games are always fun, but fun games aren't necessarily good
This was the kind of talk that made me want to buy the first one, and I would just like to say NEVER AGAIN!!!
Roflbrellas?
Not sold. Looks too silly. Sorry.
I resent the fact that this blog is not listed under "B-games." Otherwise, I totally agree. Two Worlds II is a great example of a silly, purely fun fantasy romp.
Two Worlds 2 is awesome. That is a FACT.
I am in favour of this article. But I am more in favour of that giant sig that says JEFFFFFFFFF
