GI Show – Resident Evil 7, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Remaking Crash Bandicoot

by Ben Hanson on Jan 26, 2017 at 12:00 PM

We have a great show for you this week. First up, Andrew Reiner, Kyle Hilliard, and Javy Gwaltney have played through and are excited to talk about the big release of Resident Evil 7. And while that all sounds good, we also have the added delight of welcoming the designer/writer for Gone Home and Tacoma Steve Gaynor to the conversation to talk about his love of Resident Evil and draw the natural comparisons between the new game's setting and his work in the game industry. After that, Javy shares the highlights of his extensive hands-on time playing the tactical, open-world Ghost Recon Wildlands, and we talk about the latest changes to Overwatch. After some great emails from the community, we're joined by Vicarious Visions' Kara Massie and Dan Tanguay to talk about the challenges of remaking Naughty Dog's Crash Bandicoot games with the N. Sane Trilogy. If you like the show, please tell a friend or leave a review on iTunes!
