GI Show – Reliving 25 Years Of Game Informer History

by Ben Hanson on Oct 13, 2016 at 01:00 PM

Back in the fall of 1991, a video game retail store called Funcoland tapped the talents of an employee named Andy McNamara and Game Informer magazine was formed. On the magazine's 25th anniversary, we want to take a full walk down memory lane with the magazine's editor-in-chief Andy McNamara and executive editor Andrew Reiner. With 283 issues behind us, there's a lot of ground to cover, so we encourage you to click here and check out our full cover story gallery to follow along in the journey.

There are a million stories, details, and staff highlights we weren't able to get to in this episode; chief amongst them is Game Informer's publisher since 2001 Cathy Preston, who's done an amazing job keeping the magazine thriving. As always, if you like this episode of the show, please share it or send feedback to podcast@gameinformer.com. We'll be back with a regular episode of the podcast next week.
