GI Show – Best/Worst New IP, Virginia, BioShock Game Club

by Ben Hanson on Sep 22, 2016 at 01:00 PM

Welcome to a new episode of The Game Informer Show! First off, Kimberley Wallace talks about the most impressive games that she played at the Tokyo Game Show this year and explains why Nioh really stood out. Then we have Jeff Marchiafava on deck to talk about his disappointment with Recore from Armature and Microsoft, which beautifully segues into a larger discussion comparing this console generation's new IP compared to the last generation. To close out our discussion on new and upcoming games, Javy Gwaltney discusses the recently released adventure-ish game called Virginia and we try to better understand why he considers it "an elegant and riveting thriller." Later on in the show, we're joined by a very special celebrity guest to talk about all things nerdy and good in the world. This week we also kick off our big Game Club discussion of the original BioShock with Javy Gwaltney, Suriel Vazquez, and Elise Favis, and I breaking down why Rapture holds up so well. Enjoy the show, and feel free to tell a friend about it!
