GI Show – Witcher 3's Expansion, Summer's Big Games, 1979 Revolution Interview

by Ben Hanson on Jun 02, 2016 at 01:00 PM

In the calm before the incoming E3 storm, the biggest release this week is an expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt named Blood and Wine. Kimberley Wallace joins this episode of the podcast to explain what she loved about Geralt's final monster-filled adventure. Also, this wouldn't be The GI Show without an unhealthy amount of Overwatch chat. Dan Tack and Javy Gwaltney join the discussion to talk about new strategies emerging in a post-launch Overwatch. After all of that, we run down everything we know about the summer's biggest game releases. Our interview this week is with Navid Khonsari from Ink Stories to talk about his time working as Rockstar's cinematic director and what it took to create the "vérité" adventure game 1979 Revolution: Black Friday. Next week is our final installment of GI Game Club playing through Uncharted 4: A Thief's End with the community, so send in your thoughts on the game's second half to podcast@gameinformer.com.
