The lights are on
Join Adam Biessener and Andy McNamara for a freewheeling discussion of ArenaNet's brand new smash hit MMO, Guild Wars 2.
Whether you're looking to have your own opinions validated or more interested in picking our proclamations apart, we've got you covered with plenty of jibber-jabber on everything from crafting to World vs. World and why Andy is so uncharacteristically late to the party.
As always, you can find classic Respec Radio episodes (and by classic, I mean...old) at the hub or at our iTunes page, and subscribe either via iTunes or through our RSS feed.

Woohoo! Can't wait to listen to this later on!
Looking forward to this one. You guys should do an episode about the best Free to Play MMOs these days.
yesss i knew this was coming been looking forward to it.
I barely followed GW2 before release. Then it came out, and really started reading about it. Then some friends I met through WoW (who've all quit that a long time ago, including me) said they were playing it. So I said alright, I'll give it a shot. Been playing it for a week, and I gota say, I'm hooked. I love the "quest" structure. Not having to go talk to a guy to get it, then go back to him to turn it in is very nice. WvW is crazy fun, to me it's like old school AV, but much better. When I first heard about the structured PvP, and how it gives you all your skills and traits, and gear, it was a huge turn off. Then my buddy was like, "yea but this way people have to rely on skill, so just because people have time to play alot more, doesn't mean they'll be any more powerful" and that instantly got me on board. Played some yesterday, and had a total blast. They really got to let you stay on the same team though if you go in with a party, hope they get on that soon. Either way, the game is amazing, and a breathe of fresh air in the genre. Loving it.
The server thats exploiting the WvW ques is eredon terrace. Something Awful guild [Ruin].
I REALLY want to play this game. It's gonna be hard with so many other games coming out on consoles, though. The one thing holding me back is the fact that I've never really played an MMO before, but something about Guild Wars 2 just makes it seem better for some reason. I'm really just looking for a good PC game that will make me go to the computer instead of the Xbox. I played Diablo III, but never got into it that much like some of my friends did. It was pretty fun, but it just wasn't that addicting game everyone was telling me about for some reason, which is what I was hoping and what I'm still looking for. Hopefully this game will be different.
Great podcast! I wanted to find out more on the game before I bought it and this really helped --so thanks!
Ahhhh, must build computer, I'm going to start buying parts in November but not going to build it until winter break, the wait is torture to be able to play GW2 for my bro. and I, lol. We have the Collector's Edition an the regular edition and we can't play it yet.
Oh, it's great alright.
Sniff... still no third wheel... WE NEED A PHIL!!!
Now that's what I call high praise. But in all seriousness, I love this game. I picked it up about two weeks and haven't touched my xbox since. The only problem I've had is some framerate drops in the bigger events, but I just upgraded my graphics card, and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
I could've sworn there was already an episode about GW2 but then I remembered that it was a Test Chamber...Why don't I have this game yet?!
I agree with what was said... Now back to playing GW2.
If you're still on the fence, get off it.
"Oh my gosh the moles are attacking!!!" haha nice podcast guys
