Special Edition Podcast: The Last of Us

As part of our month-long coverage of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, we let our readers ask the designers behind the game questions about the company's gripping horror game.

Our cover story writer Bryan Vore helms the podcast with help from Tim Turi, as game director Bruce Straley and creative director Neil Druckmann answer your queries about The Last of Us.

  • Haha, I think I may take the 666 off my name.

  • No regular edition of the popcast today.  Color me disappointed.  Excited for Last of Us, though.

  • So pumped. I almost weeped at that absolutely beautiful outro.

  • No Country for Old Men as an inspiration? It just gets more awesome.

  • I'm still waiting for my issue to arrive.

  • The music is really good, and the game isn't sounding too shabby either.
  • Glad to see one of my questions got asked and answered. Good job with my name Mr. Turi! "Wickenhauser" is easier to pronounce than it looks. 99.9% of people that say it get it right as I've found over the years. And once they say it, people can't stop saying it.
  • This game is definitely sounding better and better. Can't wait.

  • That was somewhat awkward

  • I wish this game wasn't an exclusive.  I don't have a PS3 but damn I want to play this game soooo bad.

  • Too bad the podcast was rather short, but still good.

  • What? Most of those where Gameplay questions? New game plus? Really??

I wanted to know about presentation and how they were going to change the medium and cease being a "game." Little bit disappointed. Maybe they will answer how it is going to be an "Interactive Cinematic Experience" later. You did it with UC3, ND, you can do it again with TLoU.

  • Love the soundtrack.

  • Soooooooooo when's this game come out lol. I cant wait to get it. Everything sounds amazing: Third person, stealth aspects, ravaged yet beautiful setting, made by Naughty Dog............................ ah I'm drooling. And the music sounds amazing. It would be awesome to hear that intro/outro song you played as either the intro or outro song for the main game but I really want it to be the main menu song so I can just hear it on a loop for as long as I want. Anyway, cant wait for the game to come out. Whether it'll be for xmas, my birthday, or just something to buy during the summer drought I will get this game. Might have to pre-order it

  • Really into the soundtrack. Might have to buy that as well as the game.

  • I still find it hard to believe someone as amazing as Gustavo Santaolalla is doing the music for this game!

  • I want this to come out for PC so bad!

  • Great special edition podcast. Love the in-depth answers from the developers.
