The lights are on
We're back! After an extra-long summer break, Andy McNamara and Adam Biessener join me for some long-overdue MMO talk. On our dramatic return episode, we take a long look at all of the details surrounding Mists of Pandaria, the latest World of Warcraft expansion.
Listen to this hour-long episode of Respec Radio to hear why Andy isn't interested in pandas, whether adding Pokemon to WoW is brilliant or terrible, and how our podcast is a stand-in for everything Andy hates about the average MMO player.
NOTE: At the beginning of this episode I mention that we're going to talk about Star Wars: The Old Republic, but by 30 minutes in it became clear that we were going to have a lengthy enough episode without that segment. Look for another episode devoted to our impressions of the Old Republic beta in the coming weeks.
Listen to the episode below and if you like what you hear subscribe via our RSS feed or check out old episodes on the Respec Radio hub.
Pandamonium. That sounds like something Tim would say.
I'm glad Respec is back, but man - a WoW only episode is lame. You don't talk about other things? DCU going free to play? Star Wars' launch? Dragon Nest? TERA? Guild Wars 2? Defiance? Rift? There's so much stuff to talk about out there! Not to mention, probably the most interesting thing -- how is Final Fantasy XIV these days? I can think of no other game that's been rebuilt as constantly as Square is doing to that game - might as well check back in. That would be a great discussion!
I'll listen anyway, but this is ...less than ideal.
*Epic return music*
You do realise Respec Radio is the bottom in the Hubs drop down list? That needs to change. And welcome back, Andy.
Like, like, like.. you know what I mean.. Like, like, like, you know like.. :D

Andy, u mad bro?
No TOR mention? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *vader voice*
When is the Old Man McNamara podcast coming? Phil, in an earlier episode of Respec Radio, you promised that you would have it out before the end of this year. In your defense, that was a looooong time ago, so you probably don't remember. Just thought I'd ask though.
I see what you did with that title Mr. Kollar
Welcome back!
Andy is saying pretty much the exact same thing I have over the net since Ive heard about it. It really is kind of revolting.
I also know Andy is a huge WoW fan. Sorry Andy. Its really got to annoy. I dont blame you one bit.
Rob Schneider, a man who has been through it all. He triumphed the Outlands, fought the scourge, and survived the breaking of the world. Things are looking pretty great. But he's about to get a fist full... of Panda? This summer, join us for a silly romp through the unknown of Azeroth as Rob Schneider discovers that being a Panda, is a good as you make it. Rob Schneider in, Mists of Pandaria.
I disagree with the new talent system because disagree with the overall design philosophy that has infected WoW. But I realize it's a well executed incarnation of that "accessible" line of thinking.
i never disliked pandas until i heard about this expansion. Now they can *** off!
The thing i loved about world of warcraft was they always stayed to the story of warcraft. And to sum up the new race of wow, i have a few words. PANDAS? WHAT THE F**K?!? F**K! MOTHER F**K**! WHAT THE.......and so on.
