The lights are on
This week's episode of Respec Radio is one of those rare treats for the World of Warcraft haters in the audience -- an episode of Respec Radio not devoted to WoW! Instead, we discuss the newly-launched, heavily WoW-inspired MMO Rift. Adam Biessener leads Andy McNamara and I on a tour of all of Rift's features, from the impressive world and complex class system to the sketchy animation.

I wish my computer could handle Rift, I think it looks really fun. I would also like to play a new RPG that isn't WoW and everyone is a noob again.

hmmmmm what soul of mage gets to throw frosty stuff? that was always my favorite part of wow was the feel of being a mage was so cool what with freezing and whatnot. this seems really cool though i love the fact that questing is almost optional. im going out to try this out this week

I agree with all you guys said about Rift, I played WoW for years and was just tired of it. Gave warhammer a try it was fun for about a month-month and a half and I've moved on to Rift and am really enjoying it.

Awesome podcast! I've been playing Rift for a short time now, 26 war/29 mage and I love it! I'm glad to hear you guys are impressed by the same things I was. Gives me hope that this MMO will find and keep a solid base and keep going strong! And seriously amen regardin the instances and the exploration. I love exploring and running around randomly just..to look at things. And Rift rewards me for it, its exciting! Oh, and world pvp is fun, especially cross-faction Invasions where guardians and defiants have to work together to kill the boss..or kill eachother and take it for themselves =D

I disagree with your invasion take on RIFT, EVERYONE around quest giver hubs STOP questing and kill the invasions and close rift because of the good XP and the fact that if you don't THE QUEST GIVES DIE and you cant turn them in. I have a lvl 20 and 30 player and I wish you guy would have given it another week before you played, to give more through detail.
