The Game Informer Show Ep. 40: Civilization V, Indie PC Games, Portable Round-Up

by Matt Helgeson on Sep 23, 2010 at 01:15 PM

Matt's gone this week -- ignore this article's byline! -- but that hasn't stopped Phil from stepping in to record a packed episode of the Game Informer Show. We celebrate the big 4-0 by devoting a big chunk of the episode to PC gaming. Adam Biessener and Dan Ryckert kick things off with a discussion of Civilization V, the biggest turn-based strategy release of the year. Adam sticks around for segment two to explain some recent awesome indie PC releases, including Amnesia, Recettear, and Minecraft.

Not interested in PC games? You should be! But we still have you covered in our final portion of the show, where Joe Juba, Bryan Vore, and Tim Turi gather to break down a few of the latest portable gaming greats. This group tackles Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, and Valkyria Chronicles 2. Listen to the full episode below or subscribe to the GI Show RSS feed.
