Special Edition Podcast: Batman: Arkham City

Earlier this week, we took your questions, and now we have some of the answers. In this special edition podcast, Jeff Cork and Bryan Vore join me to talk about their cover trip to see Batman: Arkham City. We talk about some of the details gleaned from that trip and speculate on what we expect and hope to see from Arkham City, from villain appearances to boss battles to the possibility of co-op.

Listen to the full episode below, or subscribe to the Game Informer Show on iTunes or via our RSS feed. Also be sure to read Jeff Cork's feature on Batman's strangest villains, mentioned during the show.

  • You said my name wrong again Phil! >:{

I didn't really expect Batman to kill anyone, I just figured there would be more blood. Thanks for answering my question first though :)

  • This is awesome thx guys for info

  • This is lame. Obviously these guys didn't know anything more than what was in the cover story. This better all be leading to something worthwhile. Thanks for the effort though, I guess

  • No mention of the Killer Croc bummer also great podcast when will we learn what the next cover is.
  • Awesome show, it was really funny. I can't wait for Arkham City!

  • Great podcast! I can't wait for this game to come out. Its sort of a bummer that we have to wait till next fall to play it though.

  • Awesome podcast guys!! Maybe they'll Have Obsure Villains DLC with Batzarro and Kiteman.

  • cant wait

  • Thanks for (heavily) mentioning me guys :)

Another great podcast, and a lot of good answers. I can't wait until they (hopefully) announce co-op.

  • I hope they keep Robin out of this game. Robin automatically makes batman lame. And if this game is anything like Arkham Asylum then it would be built for single player.

  • thank you for answering my question.... and making fun of my name

  • Uh, thanks for addressing my question guys, but you totally misunderstood it. I know Batman isn't going to be black and white, nor would I want him to be. I asked if he will have the graphical differences in any cutscene, or ingame, maybe, like the cape off of his shoulders and shorter ears. If you look at the character model in the concept art, it's different than the in game model (sans the black and white...)

I doubted you'd be able to know anyway, which is apparent with basically all of the questions, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

  • what the crap my question isn't on there NOOOOOO!!! c'mon. why GI? why??

  • nice Arnie impression XD  Thanks for the podcast

  • Great show guys, kinda peeved that my questions weren't told. This helped answer some things and made me laugh my arse off

  • I still don't have my issue yet.  Maybe because I just renewed. Very dissapointed!

  • Wow. I really didn't expect to have my question answered, thanks GI. The job application for DLC pretty much answered the question. I'm really looking forward to more news about this game and maybe I'll get a chance to interact more with you guys in the future.

  • No answers to my DC hero cameo questions, Come on guys!

  • One of my questions was indirectly addressed (about detective mode) but I'm still curious if Batman takes up less space on the screen so it will be less head-ache inducing.

As far as obscure villians go, I want the Music Meister to show up. He totally should not be in Arkham City as he wouldn't at all fit, but it would be hilarious. Though I guess he could just show up during the end credits to sing a song or two.

BTW it was a hilarious podcast. Awesome!
  • Why haven't I been able to find the last two podcasts on Itunes?
