The lights are on
The Game Informer Show Episode 13 looks forward to what is sure to be a monumental year in video games and technology. First off, Phil Kollar, Ben Reeves, and Matthew Kato drop by to speculate on what the year has in store for new games, new systems, and motion control. Along the way, the crew drops a few predictions, so check back in a year to see if we were right. The second segment delves deep into the world of technology, television, and computers with Matt Bertz and Nick Ahrens, who both recently returned from the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. They let us in on some of the show's highlights, and express some cynicism regarding the much-hyped push towards 3D television.

Cool :)
This should be interesting.
Sweet. I love these podcasts- definitely an awesome way to express opinions outside of the mag and also a good way to put a voice with a name finally.
I really think the podcasts could be videocasts...
The Kanye meme never gets old. ^_^
Agreed, really the lat games DLC that i truly cared about getting was Fallout 3 something with Bethesda and Dlc just makes me wanna get it i don't know maybe because there the ones who really started it all.
thx for changing back to regular
this guy is a huge TIT. He says xbox has crackdown and splinter cell but no other significant exclusives ... ummm
Mass Effect 2
Halo Reach
Fable 3
Alan Wake
just to name a few others. In fact if you set the exclusives side by side both the PS3 and 360 have great exclusive (confirmed) lineups
PS3 XBOX 360
GT5 Crackdown 2
White Knight Chronicles Splinter Cell Conviction
Heavy Rain Mass Effect 2
GOW 3 Halo Reach
Yakuza 3 Fable 3
The Last Gaurdian Alan Wake
In my opinion pretty good lineups on both sides
stopped listening after that what a TIT
Any chance of a Zune marketplace subscription?
3d is LAME!!!
it is a fad that will pass. soon.
Yeah, but Patrick, then they'd have to wear pants.
@solracson: You skipped several PS3 exclusives, including MAG, Mod Nation Racers, and Resistance 3. But as I said on the show, I'm sure Sony will announce more at E3, as will Microsoft. All I said is that looking at the current line-up, Sony looks like they've got a more consistent schedule for the rest of the year, so I hope that Microsoft has some stuff up their sleeves. Anything could change this early in the year.
Also, I'd prefer if you call me a 'boob.' Thx.
@Matthew: Bingo. Wearing pants during a podcast is awful.
Good show can't wait for the future
@boob:
yes you are right I forgot to list MAG.
ModNationRacers, as the dudes on NFL countdown would say, come on man, I could have listed Joy Ride for the 360.
Resistance 3 is nothing more than speculation. If we start speculating then we can add Gears of War 3 or Perfect Dark 2
just own up dude that was a boob comment
@solracon: No, it WAS speculation...which was the whole point of the segment. We were looking ahead to how 2010 looks right now and where it may or may not go. Read the description of the show up there:
"First off, Phil Kollar, Ben Reeves, and Matthew Kato drop by to *speculate* on what the year has in store"
So.
About the ebooks... I would much rather still read a real book. There is just something about the pages and the way it feels. Oh well I don't have to give them my money.
2010 should be great!
@John: couldn't agree more. On ALL consoles
@boob: my comment was with your statement about exclusives and I think I have made my point on the fact that the 360's exclusives line up very well against PS3's when compared side by side. After that it is a matter of taste.
there is always episode 14 dude.
Till then lactate
HGod, i wanna hear about Fallout New Vegas or Elder Scrolls V i need a new Bethesda game!
