The Game Informer Show Episode 11

This week's episode kicks off with some freewheeling questions from Gameinformer.com users in another edition of Reader Mailbag. Listen as Matt Helgeson, Phil Kollar, Nick Ahrens, and Jeff Cork give you the hard answers to the hard questions. In segment two, we wrap up our year-end podcasting with Adam Biessener, Matt Miller, and Meagan VanBurkleo, who take a look back at the year's best indie and downloadable games. It was an amazing year in this rising category, so keep your ears peeled for some great games you might have missed.

  • Shadow Complex is the best downloadable title EVER. Only Castle Crashers, AudioSurf, Braid, and Calling All Cars! come even a little close.

  • Could not agree more about being hyped for the release of Red Dead Redemption. Great show as always.

In the future when you guys do the Reader Mailbag stuff, it'd be nice if you didn't linger on some of the questions as long so that more questions can get answered.

  • You guys hit on the two titles I was thinking about when cover titles tank hard.

  • @dbull620: I'd rather we spend as much time as we need answering the really good questions rather than making sure everything is asked but only giving each question a minute or two. We'll always be doing more mailbags, so if your question didn't get answered this time, just be sure to submit it again! :)

  • You guys need some NyxQuest, Swords and Soldiers, and LostWinds in your downloadable lives. All three games are amazing as well as do a great job of keeping fresh.

  • Is your show ever going to be in iTunes?

  • What? No talk about Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Magic : The Gathering, or Super Street Fighter II HD Remix? Great DLCs. Still, good podcast.

  • I put these podcasts up anytime I drive around, great work as usual guys!

  • great show as always. i was wondering if my music could be on your show. Please get back to me if it's possible.

  • The only thing multi-player in BioShock 2 means is there will be achievements I won't be able to get. Blah. Seriously though, it is bad enough they felt the need to extend BioShock with a sequel, but throwing a multi-player in the mix is where they really lost me. With that said, I am all for being proved wrong.

  • @Phil: Who are "they" you are speaking of in regards to developers ripping off the Gears cover system? Don't be shy - call them out by name. They deserve it.

  • I didn't mind the music..............

  • Staff

haha thanks jacob, yeah like i said i kinda dropped the ball on the music this week...

thanks for all the feedback and definitely please keep suggesting stuff you'd like to hear.

as far as the questions, we got to as many as we could, sometimes the discussion kinda goes off in directions you don't expect....

  • Cant wait till RDR comes out

  • Music was awesome, not bad at all :D

  • are these up on iTunes yet?

  • IYAHEE!

  • Red Dead Redemption does look quite exhilarating. The graphics, detail, and free roaming style look mind-blowning, and I'll have to try it out.

  • Do want Google console.
