on March 20, 2014 at 02:49 PM
Taro Yoko is known for his work as a creative director for games including Drakengard and Nier , which are both on the weirder side of the RPG spectrum. New Nier News Nearby? [Update: It's Just A Concert]
on September 30, 2011 at 09:15 AM
Update: The "amazing" announcement pertaining to Nier isn't related to a sequel. Instead, it's a concert to be held only in Japan on October 28. That isn't bad news, considering that Nier's soundtrack is one of its highlights...but the announcement is probably a bit disappointing...
I Don't Want To Move Your Dumb Box
on January 09, 2011 at 12:03 PM
I beat Nier a few weekends ago, and I'm almost done playing through Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Aside from being pretty good games, there's really not a whole lot of common ground between the two. That is, except for one horrible thing: the main characters have to push a bunch of stupid boxes...
Nier Developer Cavia Shutting Down
on July 13, 2010 at 01:30 PM
Did you like Nier? How about Bullet Witch? Okay, so developer Cavia's recent track record isn't great, but it's still sad to hear that the Japanese studio (known primarily for the Drakengard series) will cease to exist after it is absorbed into AQ Interactive. In an interview with Japanese...

If you've watched the previous Nier videos, you've probably been completely confused. This latest trailer may not clear everything up, but it does at least give the talking book a little more context. OK, not really.
on February 05, 2010 at 05:25 PM
If you read this issue's preview of Nier and are craving more media of the game, here are some new screens to keep you happy. They show off some of the village environments, the frenzied action, and even the complex word edit system, which lets you upgrade your weapons and abilities. You can also...

New Nier Trailer Stronger Than A Cup Of Coffee
on December 18, 2009 at 11:04 AM
Nier, Square Enix’s unapologetically mature action-RPG, is already positioning itself to break the mold of what the publisher is known for. Developer Cavia (behind Square’s M-rated Drakengard series) has remained tight-lipped about game details till this point. What we do know is that the...
