Disney Now Owns Controlling Stake In Deadly Premonition, El Shaddai Publisher
on February 01, 2012 at 07:35 PM
Despite a steadily decreasing line-up of games, studio closures, and generally getting smaller, Ignition Entertainment built up a name for itself and a niche following over the past few years with strange, instant cult classic releases such as Deadly Premonition and El Shaddai. Now this bizarre game...
Quarrel Is Secret Best Word Game, Coming To XBLA Soon, PSN Eventually
on September 05, 2011 at 03:00 PM
Whether we're talking Scrabble, Boggle, or Hanging With Friends, I have an unhealthy (if happy) obsession with word games. Perhaps it's just the writer in me, but I can't get enough of games that involve playing with letters to create high point-scoring words. This year at E3, I discovered...
Deadly Premonition Prequel, Sequel, And More From Swery Planned
on August 23, 2011 at 07:50 PM
Ever since Deadly Premonition came into my life last year as a deeply flawed yet utterly lovable mess of a game, I've been eager to see what's next from Access Games director Hidetaka Suehiro, better known as Swery. Unsurprisingly, he has some very ambitious plans. Speaking to Metro last week...

European gamers who haven't checked out the charmingly flawed Deadly Premonition will soon have a chance to pick it up on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service. Ignition's On-Again, Off-Again Action Game Wardevil Canceled Once More
on June 28, 2011 at 01:30 PM
Now that Duke Nukem Forever is out, Wardevil is arguably one of the longest-in-development games that may never see the light of day. Announced way back in 2004, before this generation of consoles even started, this action game from Ignition boasted the (at the time totally awe-inspiring) claim of being...

Watch A Bunch Of People Join Me In Gushing About Deadly Premonition
on April 11, 2011 at 08:55 PM
A couple of months ago I was asked to create a short video expressing some of my reasons for loving Deadly Premonition, a flawed but endearing survival horror game that ended up being one of my favorites last year. That video was spliced together with similar clips from others in the industry to create...

on June 22, 2010 at 04:47 PM
Ignition's upcoming title, El Shaddai: Ascention of the Metatron, has a very confusing story. There's a famous blonde guy named Enoch who goes by 72 different names. His journey takes him through an epic war between heaven and hell. On the way, he encounters an archangel named Lucifel, who is...
El Shaddai Is A Visual Gift From Heaven
on June 18, 2010 at 03:40 AM
Of all the games I saw at E3 this year, El Shaddai was the one that I knew the least about going in and walked away from most excited to see more. This gorgeous third-person action game puts you into the blue jeans of Enoch, a human called on by God to hunt down fallen angels with the help of God's...
