Mega Man 11 Amiibo Coming To Switch Version

by Imran Khan on May 29, 2018 at 07:48 PM

Mega Man 11 is coming to, well, every modern system, but the Switch version will get an extra bit of plastic the other versions don't.

The new Mega Man amiibo, which is based on his Mega Man 11 design, is also being offered from Capcom as a Gamestop exclusive. The amiibo can be procured through the Mega Man 11 amiibo version, which includes the Switch game, a Dr. Wily patch, some stickers, the aforementioned amiibo, and a microfiber cloth of the game's boss select screen.

The amiibo edition is only available in U.S. and Canada at this time. We reached out to Capcom about whether the amiibo itself would be sold separately and were simply told "There are no additional details at this time regarding availability of the amiibo."

Mega Man 11 releases October 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. You can read our new hands-on preview with the game here.

Our Take
I already have a Mega Man amiibo, but honestly I could probably go for another. If he stays in Smash Bros., I wonder if the two will have identical functionality.
