Selfie Alert: God Of War's Photo Mode Is Out Today

by Jeff Marchiafava on May 09, 2018 at 01:25 PM

It's no secret that God Of War is a gorgeous game (among its many other praiseworthy attributes), but using the PS4's built-in Share feature isn't always ideal for capturing all the troll-pounding action and breathtaking vistas. Today's latest God Of War patch aims to fix that by offering budding video game photojournalists a suite of tools to nab the perfect shot.

In a post on PlayStation.Blog, Santa Monica Studio engineering lead Jeet Shroff offers a full breakdown of the new photo mode included in Patch 1.20. Photo buffs can expect all the usual options, including field of view, focus distance, f-stop, and a variety of vignettes and borders, while the immature gamers among us can look forward to tweaking Kratos and Atreus' facial expressions to ruin the mood. Patch 1.20 also boosts the U.I. text size, which should give your eyes a much-needed reprieve from squinting at the menus.
